Welcome to VORTEX Foundations! A heavy technological modpack centered around progressing through the ages and uncovering a multitude of stories fabricated by mod makers and yourself...

Featuring Create and its addons, then Applied Energistics and finally Mekanism... Progress is key, but there's much more than that.

Warning - This modpack, featuring 450+ mods, is very heavy on hardware. Recommended stock config:
16GB of RAM / 12 GB of VRAM ( 7700 XT ) / Radeon 7 7700 X

A vast landscape is seen, as the camera looks over the vast foggy expanse of the world a caption text reads: "The World, and so much more..." The 3 Minecraft dimensions lay side by side, with a beautiful sunset over the Overworld landscape, the desolate Nether Basalt Deltas, and an Enderman looking out to the Outer Islands from the center of The End.

Through Still Life and Tectonic, the overworld feels grand and full of surprises.

With Amplified Nether, the hellish landscapes soar new heights.

And, along Nullscape... The end of a story is not the end of an adventure.

The technology banner features a large generators in an industrial looking place... The image depicts 3 stages of progression, from Create, to Applied Energistics 2, and finally Mekanism.

You will begin your adventure with nothing more than a flint knife and a shield, leather boots and pants, as well as a few books. You will have to work out the steps, or follow the path of quests...

After hunting and gathering, you will be ready for the journey towards the Ancient Foundry. An abandoned structure once used to smelt metals. It will be your goal to exploit its resources, and even repair it if you so choose.

Next up, you will have to go through the industrial age by manufacturing brass and steel with coke and metallurgic equipment in order to progress onwards.

By then, you'd likely have ran into a storage problem. Thankfully Applied Energistics 2 will have you covered, with the ability to connect storage seamlessly into one network, and adding autocrafting servers for whatever you may need.

After all of your hardships, you can finally reach the Mekanism age. Your mission: Antimatter. Work through the modern technologies to reach your goals, and ascend to be the most powerful entity of the three dimensions.

Disclaimer - Quests are still a WIP / Unfinished as of 2.6.

Thought 3.0 was cancelled? Personally, I did. But through pure dumb luck and incredible, unmeasured skill from the modding community - VF is back in operation.

Can't be bothered to make a changelog, sorry! Been way too long, as I've been busy with my other project - Liminal Places

I haven't tested this besides spending a single minute in a world, after making the modpack run for the first time in a whole month.

Instability is then expected. But feel free to report things in the Discord Server!

Initial alpha release for use in testing on other devices. This is a largely incomplete, but very fancy modpack experience.

The current state of the pack could be considered what you would call a Kitchen Sink. See for yourself!

Phantoms are back, progression is fixed, and you can use rowboats in oceans again. You can now, probably, make a correct playthrough now.

Here's the latest update, bringing you a fixed nether quest tree and new recipes. Officially, the first version for VFS.

This first release of 2.7 brings much needed polish on all aspects. Quests have been touched up extensively, concrete as well, fun new recipes have been added...

Overall, this is all over the place. Sadly, we have removed VR, as it didn't fit with the design of VF, and made for a pretty bad experience-

It'll return in another modpack I'll make someday however. Oh, watermedia is back.

Anyway! This update marks the beginning of VFS 4, the pack's very own multiplayer survival world starting on the 21th of March 2026! Join the Discord Server to apply.
