This modpack is focused on Serene Seasons and other mods that integrate well with it. I have tried to keep this modpack small while also still adding enough to make things more interesting than vanilla Minecraft. The main mods I have added to fit with Serene Seasons are:
- Upgrade Aquatic, Atmospheric, and Environmental - More biomes and variety of food as well as more varied wildlife.
- Farmer's Delight, My Nether's delight, Ender Delight and Fruits Delight- Bigger variety of food to ensure you can always grow something no matter what season it is!
- Spice of Life Onion Edition - To reward you for and encourage eating a bigger variety of food.
- Tectonic and Cliff Under a Tree (Clifftree) - To revamp terrain generation and make worlds more exciting to explore and also because I'm a sucker for worldgen mods.
- Haunted Harvest and Snowy Spirit - Changes villager behaviour in certain seasons and adds special holiday themed food and blocks!
- Better Days and Serene Seasons Plus - How much of a Minecraft day is daytime and how much is night now adjusts according to what season it is! Shorter days and longer nights in the winter, longer days and shorter nights in the summer!
- Seasonal Integration - A datapack I made specifically for this modpack that ensures all the mods I've added work properly with serene seasons in the intended way.
- Scorchful and Frostiful (v1.4.0 +) - Makes Summer and Winter more perilous via frostbite in winter and heatstroke in summer as well as in snowy or tropical biomes respectively. Make sure you stay hydrated in Summer and stay warm in Winter!
I have also have a secondary theme which is the world changing around you as you play as opposed to you changing the world with your actions (which you can still do by the way). I have used various different mods to achieve this including:
- Enhanced Celestials - To make nighttime more interesting every now and then and create some incentive to avoid skipping the night. I have also made some custom lunar events that are exclusive to this modpack!
- Respawning Animals - As animals can now despawn and respawn like monsters you won't find the same animals in the same places all the time! It simulates animals moving around the world and feels more realistic in that sense.
- In Control - To adjust mob spawn rates (passive and hostile) according to the season. Passive mobs no longer breed or spawn during non-tropical Winter so plan ahead!
- Saplanting - Saplings and various other plants will plant themselves in the ground if dropped as an item, allowing forests to regenerate by themselves after some wood harvesting or forest fires.
- Snow Real Magic - Snow builds up on top of various vegetation and flowers properly in Winter like it should!
- Dynamic Surroundings - Not only do all biomes have ambient sounds like nether biomes, it also changes according to what season it is and what the weather is doing!
- Pillager Caravans - Illagers sometimes pass by while transporting various goods. Do you let them pass by with their ill gotten goods? Or do you risk death for some quick loot?
If you experience any issues with the modpack please let me know. I'm only one guy so it's impossible for me to catch every issue but I try my best!
Now get out there and enjoy the seasons!

- To replace Sodium/Embeddium Extras
- Does basically the same things but actually works with newer versions of Sodium.

- Updated mods.
- Removed some redundant config files from the server pack to save space.

Fixes
- Fixed the game crashing whenever the video settings were opened.

- Serene Seasons integration for the temperature system works in Singleplayer but not on multiplayer servers.
- For servers it seems to be inconsistent at times but I am looking into it.
1.4.0Бета1.21.1 · 3 августа 2026 г.
Mod additions and removals
- Added Scorchful
- Adds sandstorms and piling sand to deserts and Badlands.
- Breezes can spawn during particularly heavy sandstorms.
- Adds a "heatstroke effect" which makes you weaker and slower if you spend too long in the sun in tropical biomes.
- If untreated will eventually lead to death.
- Can be avoided by staying in the shade or staying hydrated.
- Can be alleviated by drinking or swimming in water.
- Crimson and warped lilies can be found in the nether to help you stay cool.
- This effect also happens in Temperate biomes (albeit at a slower pace) during the summer.
- Taking damage from fire and lava can also give you this effect so be careful!
- Fire and lava give you heatstroke much faster if you're in the nether.
- Added Frostiful
- Expands on the freezing aspect of powder snow so that you can freeze to death in cold biomes.
- Freezing can be counteracted by staying near light/heat sources such as torches, campfires and fire.
- Freezing also happens at a slower pace in temperate biomes during the winter.
- The new sun lichen can be found in cold biomes which can help you stay warm.
- Attacks from some enemies such as Strays or Gelids can make you freeze quicker so be careful!
- Expands on the freezing aspect of powder snow so that you can freeze to death in cold biomes.
- Added Thermoo Patches
- Adds integration between Frostiful, Scorchful and Serene Seasons.
- Added Pigsteel
- Adds pigsteel which generates in the nether and can be refined into iron nuggets/ingots.
- Think of it like the nether version of iron.
- Added No chat Restrictions
- What this does should be pretty self-explanatory.
Changes made to existing mods:
- Updated mods and Neoforge.
- 40% of the passive mobs that spawn during spring will now be babies.
- This is to simulate significant mob breeding occurring during Spring.
- Ancient debris now drops netherite scraps instead of itself.
- You can still get ancient debris by using silk touch.
- This change allows fortune to work with ancient debris as well as allowing it's drops to be boosted by the blue moon.
Fixes
- Fixed a typo in one of the tags in the modpack's internal datapack that was preventing the tag from loading properly.
- Fixed an issue where plains biomes weren't receiving snow during the winter.
Known Issues
- Serene Seasons integration for the temperature system works in singleplayer but not on multiplayer servers.
- I hope to have this fixed and a patch released soon.
1.3.2Релиз1.21.1 · 31 мая 2026 г.
Mod additions and removals
- Removed Async Particles and Async Locator
- This is due to issues they are causing with newer versions of Sodium and other mods.
- Removed Fusion connected textures
- This is a leftover dependency from mods in earlier versions that have since been removed.
- Added Vanilla Backport x Incubation
- This allows brown and blue eggs to be placed in twig and hay nests and generate in nests in the appropriate biomes.
Changes made to existing mods
- Updated mods, Seasonal Integration and Neoforge.
- Changed the recipes for the newly added rope fences and fence gates to use Supplementaries's rope instead of Farmer's Delight's rope.
- Vanilla Backport has been updated to include content from Minecraft 26.2 Chaos Cubed!
- This includes 5 new music tracks, sulphur and cinnabar blocks as well as sulphur cube mobs, sulphur geysers, sulphur caves and a new music disc!
Changes to Lunar Events
- The Meadow Moon no longer gives the comfort effect.
- This is due to the effect's planned removal from Farmer's Delight in the future and the nourishment effect now basically doing the same thing.
Fixes
- Added a temporary solution to address cargo animals from pillager caravans not despawning with the illagers and leaving free loot everywhere.
- This works via a function which removes persistence from mobs that are a part of pillager caravans every 30 seconds or so, making them despawn when no players are nearby just like hostile mobs.
- Please note that if you have taken any animals from Pillager Caravans to keep as pets then you will unfortunately be likely to lose them as a result of this change but there's not much I can do about it unfortunately.
- The functions I have added to make this work will be removed once Pillager Caravans fixes the issue on their end.
The server pack for this version can be found here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/tis-the-season/files/8177215
1.3.1Релиз1.21.1 · 23 января 2026 г.
Changes made to existing mods
- When starting a new world, Caravans will now only start spawning after 5 in-game days have passed.
- This makes them consistent with Vanilla's Pillager Patrols.
- Halved the spawnrate of all Caravans as they were occurring too frequently.
- Disabled enhanced grass and flower growth from Serene Seasons Plus.
- This caused some flowers to appear in biomes where they didn't fit so this has been disabled until Biome configuration for this feature is available.
- Updated all mods, Neoforge and Seasonal Integration to the latest versions at time of writing.
- Added all fruits to relevant Seasonal Fertility tags to ensure that their drops can be enhanced properly by Lunar events.
Changes to Lunar Events
- The Meadow Moon and Flower Moon now give players the Harmony effect (From Neapolitan).
- The Flower Moon now gives the Vibing effect (From Upgrade Aquatic) to players and passive mobs instead of regeneration.
- The Hunter's Moon now gives all mobs the Berserking effect (From Neapolitan).
- The Wolf Moon now gives all players the Persistence effect (From Atmospheric).
- The Wolf Moon now gives all types of wolves the speed effect.
- Added all of Serene Season's Crop tags to Enhanced Celestials' Harvest Moon crops tag. This allows all crops with Serene Seasons Compatibility to get bonuses from the Harvest Moon!
- This mainly allows things like Sapling and Sugar Cane drops, basically anything that can grow to be duplicated by the harvest moon.
- The Harvest Moon now doubles drops from all types of logs to make it more impactful among the other lunar events.
- The Blue Moon now gives the haste effect to players as well as doubles all drops from ores and minerals. Happy Mining!
Other Changes
- General cleanup and removal of redundant config files from removed mods.
- Fixed an issue on the modrinth version of the modpack where the download for Cool Rain was included as an override instead of linking to the mod's page.
- NOTE: Due to Modrinth now not allowing me to upload Server Packs on this page you will have to get the updated server pack from the Curseforge page: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/tis-the-season/files/7513778
1.3.0Релиз1.21.1 · 7 января 2026 г.
With this update I will now consider the modpack to be out of beta and officially released! This is because I have accomplished everything I set out to do when I first made the modpack, anything else I add from here will be considered a bonus! Read on to see the changes in the biggest update this modpack has had!
Updated all mods to the latest versions.
- This includes new stuff from Supplementaries.

- This includes changes from Seasonal Integration v1.3.0 to v1.4.1. Please check those changelogs for those changes!
Added Pillager Caravans.
- This adds wandering caravans which journey across biomes. They are full of loot but guarded by plenty of different Illagers.
- They come in various sizes and change according to what biome they first spawn in.
- Will you risk dying to them for the loot they carry or will you let them pass by with their ill-gotten goods?
Added Just Enough Effect Descriptions (JEED)
- Allows you to see descriptions of potion effects via JEI.
- Mainly added to help people understand modded potion effects that aren't particularly intuitive.
Added Revamped Wolf
- This mod enhances wolf AI to make them stick together better as a pack.
- Also allows wolves to pick food up off the ground and eat it to heal themselves.
Added Enderscape
- Added to give the end more content without adding too much.
- The Goal is to make it similar in content to 1.16's nether.
Added Clean Tooltips

- Whistlecane forest
Added Combat Noveau
- Implements changes from the combat test snapshots that released a while ago.
- Getting hurt will interrupt eating/drinking.
- Snowballs and eggs now stack to 64 and regular potions stack to 16.
- You can now hold the attack button to repeatedly attack.
- Drinking potions/soups and stews should be much faster.
- Tiny mobs such as rabbits and baby zombies should be a lot easier to hit.
- Shields now have an indicator to show that it is up and that you're being protected.
- Implements changes from the combat test snapshots that released a while ago.
Added Convenient effects.
- Tweaks a few potion effects to make them better or less intrusive.
- Makes potion particles way less visible when in first person.
Added Cut Through.
- Let's you hit mobs through grass and other foliage that would otherwise negate your attack.
Added Particular
- Adds some nice particle and water effects for some increased ambience!
Added Cool Rain
- Changes the sound that rain makes when hitting the ground depending on what block the rain is landing on.
Added Wakes
- Leaves a disturbance (wake) in water when travelling in a boat or swimming.
Removed Auroras, Iris and Complementary Shaders.
- This is mainly due to performance issues on lower end devices but also to resolve some conflicts with other mod's rendering effects.
- Auroras unfortunately either wouldn't spawn or didn't look good with the other mods I have so they have been removed. I couldn't seem to get it's config file working either.
Added Custom Lunar Events via the modpack's internal datapack!
- Snow Moon
- Dark Blue moon with Dark Blue skylight.
- Players get the frost effect during this event, slowing them down and making them slowly freeze to death if they are outdoors. Leather armour will prevent freezing but will not prevent the slowdown effect.
- Cold variant mobs replace normal mob spawning during this event.
- Cannot sleep through this night due to the extreme cold.
- Slightly more hostile mobs than normal.
- Beacons have 50% less range due to the cold.
- Winter Crops have quadruple yields if the event occurs during Winter.
- Xp Drops are reduced by 25% during this night.
- Anvil and enchanting table costs are 25% more during this night.
- Hunter's Moon
- Orange moon with orange skylight aiming to give a Halloween vibe.
- Only undead spawn during this event but more than normal.
- Undead animals can spawn during this event too.
- Cannot sleep through this night due to the watchful dead.
- Slightly more hostile mobs than normal.
- Every mob on the surface gets the strength effect (Including Players)!
- Xp drops are increased by 50% and anvil and enchanting table costs are reduced by 25% during this event!
- Beacons have 50% more range during this event.
- Autumn Crops have triple yields if this event occurs during Autumn.
- Wolf Moon
- Regular White Moon with White Skylight
- Loads of wolves spawning.
- Includes skeleton and zombie wolves too!
- Only Skeletons as the hostiles during this night.
- Moon is bigger than normal during this event.
- Moonlight is bright enough during this event to allow you to see as if it was daytime!
- Beacons have 25% more range during this event.
- Flower Moon
- Pink Moon and Pink Skylight
- Huge amount of passive mob spawns.
- Hostile mobs are largely absent from the surface. (Those that aren't are weaker and take more damage).
- Players and all Passive mobs get the regeneration and relief effects.
- All flowers have double yields during this event.
- Spring Crops have triple yields if this event occurs during Spring.
- Meadow Moon
- Green Moon and Green Skylight
- Peaceful night with Hostile mobs completely absent from the surface.
- Players get the Resistance, Comfort, Nourishment and Restful effects for the duration of the night.
- Summer crops have triple yields if this event occurs during Summer.
- All new events come with Super moon variants too!
- Super moon variants all have doubled effects from their regular counterparts.
- The Blood Moon from base enhanced celestials has been updated to give all hostile mobs the speed effect if they are exposed to the sky.
- With the addition of 5 more lunar events and with blood moons being much rarer as a result, it felt necessary to make them more impactful while not changing their existing effects too much. This change felt like a good middle ground.
- Snow Moon
I have updated the modpack page with new screenshots from this version!
- Seed I used for terrain screenshots: 2436571331335935607
- I also used this seed for some of the build screenshots: 613487280921151894
- The modpack has a new logo, highlighting the terrain as well as trying to represent all 4 seasons in one screenshot!
- Seed: 8216851679320260194, Coordinates:(X: 5328, Y:123, Z:532)
Changes/fixes to existing mods or settings
- Added Upgrade Aquatic's river saplings to fishing loot tables if you are in any river biomes.
- Added Upgrade Aquatic's River trees to sandy beaches, oceans, swamps and rainforest basins.
- Due to the way that rivers generate with Clifftree and Tectonic it means that there is virtually no dry land occurring in river biomes to allow river trees to spawn, making them exceedingly difficult to find. So these changes have been made as an alternative way to get them.
- Fixed Camels spawning deep underground.
- Disabled Farmer's Delight rope in favour of Supplementaries's rope
- Recipes have been adjusted to ensure that it is as easy to get as Farmer's Delight's Rope.
- Added Ecologic's beach features to Clifftree's Tropical Beach.
- Adjusted the dimension settings for Lunar events so that Serene Seasons and Enhanced Celestials agree on how long a Minecraft year is (96 days).
If you have any feedback on how things are (especially surrounding the new lunar events) please let me know either on here or open an issue on the github and I'd be happy to take a look! I hope you enjoy what I consider to be the definitive version of Tis the Season! I will still be updating this modpack in the future but it will be likely be smaller than this version and just some small changes and optimisations to make things work better and more cohesively.
Cheers!
1.2.1Бета1.21.1 · 27 ноября 2025 г.
- Re-Added Modern Fix
- It has proven helpful in resolving some server connectivity issues so I have added it back in.
- Updated mods to the latest version at time of writing
- Clifftree is still on v1.7 though as the 1.21.1 update hasn't arrived yet.
- Adjusted some Incontrol spawn rules to only be active in their specific seasons to help performance.
- Allowed passive mobs to spawn in oceans and river biomes during the winter.
- This is mainly to ensure that aquatic mobs can still spawn.
- Increased the spawn rate of passive mobs in tropical biomes during winter.
- This simulates animal migration but also ensures that tropical biomes stay a reliable source of passive mobs in the winter.
- Changes added via Seasonal Integration
- Added Vanilla's Pale Garden to the "spooky" and "dead" biome tags to make dynamic surroundings give it dense fog and barely any ambience.
- Added Clifftree's Warm Caves and Yung's Cave Biomes's Lost caves to variants and venture's "deserts" tag to ensure that desert variant mobs can spawn there.
- Added Clifftree's Mushroom Caves to the "is_mushroom" tag.
- Added Jungle Variant mobs to Lush Caves
- This is experimental and may well get removed in the next update.
- This has been added via the modpack's internal datapack rather than through seasonal integration due to it's experimental nature.
- Fixed Modded Cave biomes not being recognised by Traveller's Titles as underground biomes.
- Fixed an issue where Pet Cemetery was mysteriously missing from the Modrinth version of the modpack.
- Apologies if you have had issues because of this!
1.2.0Бета1.21.1 · 22 ноября 2025 г.
Made Zombie horses and skeleton horses spawn with zombie and skeleton riders during the night in the autumn season
- Zombie and skeleton Horses now burn in sunlight like other undead mobs
Added Pet Cemetery
- This mod allows you to resurrect your pets using a pet collar and a respawn anchor!
- The pets will respawn as zombie versions and if zombie versions die they will respawn as their skeleton counterpart through the same process
- Zombie and Skeleton pets will also burn in sunlight like all undead creatures so be careful!
- Undead Pets will not burn in sunlight if wearing their respective armours.
Updated most mods and Seasonal Integration to the latest versions at time of writing.
- Added Environmental's Marsh to the "lesser_color_changes" biome tag.
- Vanilla Backport now includes all features from Bundles of Bravery (1.21.2) and Spring to Life (1.21.5).
- Updated cold biome tags to include Clifftree's Frozen caves and Yung's Frosted Caves.
Added Clayworks
- This was added in a previous version but I forgot to document it, Sorry!
- Adds terracotta building blocks, coloured pots and the Kiln!
- The Kiln acts as a faster furnace but for everything not already covered by the blast furnace or the smoker.
Removed Backported and Backported Animal Variants
- Vanilla Backport has been updated to include these mod's features so these mods have been deemed redundant.
Removed Modernfix
- This is to prevent conflicts with some other recently updated mods just to be safe.
- It may be added back in a future version.
Backdated Clifftree version to 1.7 from 2.0.1
- This is a temporary change to address an issue with the new Vanilla Backport version causing the Pale Garden to generate incorrectly.
- This will be in place until the new version of Clifftree has released for 1.21.1. At which point I will release a hotfix updating to it.
Introduced a server pack that will be included in the "additional files" section of every version from now on!
- This will make it much easier to set up a server to play this modpack with a group of friends!
1.1.1Бета1.21.1 · 31 октября 2025 г.
- Added an internal resourcepack to serve a similar function as the internal datapack added in the previous version
- This will be used primarily for compatibility between falling leaves and other mods in the modpack
- Disabled falling leaves for Maple, Plum and Pale Oak trees as their respective mods already add that.
- Changed Coconut and Yucca trees to use the "palm" falling leaf particles.
- Changed Rosewood and Morado trees to use the "mahogany" falling leaf particles.
- Changed Pine trees to use conifer leaf particles.
- Changed Hawberry trees to produce maple leaf particles.
