This datapack is designed to make various mods and/or datapacks work better with Serene Seasons.

It does this by adding entries to serene season's tags these include:

  • Adding relevant biomes to the "tropical biomes" tag
  • Adding relevant biomes to the "blacklisted biomes" tag.
  • Adding relevant food, seeds and/or crops to the various seasonal fertility tags depending on what the crop is and during which seasons I feel it makes sense for them to be able to grow in.

This datapack also adds biomes from some mods to some Vanilla Minecraft and internal Neoforge tags to ensure they work better with ambience mods such as Dynamic Surroundings as well as mods that add biome variants of mobs such as Variants and Ventures.

**Using Ecliptic Seasons instead of Serene Seasons? See the below spoiler**

Spoiler

If using Ecliptic Seasons download the below mod alongside Seasonal Integration and Glitchcore and you should be good to go!

More to come in the future or upon request! You could also open an issue or pull request on the github and I'd be happy to take a look at it!

NOTE: Requested mod or datapack must be on Neoforge or Fabric and be on Minecraft Version 1.21.1 or above.

I primarily designed this datapack to accompany a modpack of mine called Tis the Season (Found here: https://modrinth.com/modpack/tis-the-season) but you are more than welcome to use it by itself!.

Furthermore no mod is required so you can use as many or as little of the mods or datapacks in the above list as you would like!

Thank you for reading! Now get out there and enjoy the seasons!

1.6.1Релиз26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2 · 31 мая 2026 г.
  • Allowed river biomes from River Redux and Climate Rivers to spawn pike, flowering rushes and pickerelweed from Upgrade Aquatic.
  • Updated ecliptic seasons integration to include tags for biome colours.
    • This makes jungle biomes, desert biomes and the pale garden have stable colours that don't change between seasons.
    • This also makes savanna biomes have moonsoonal colours, meaning their colours only change between the wet season and the dry season.
    • This also makes swamp biomes have much more subtle colour changes between seasons.
    • Finally, this makes badlands biomes have colour changes more suited for hot biomes and makes icy and snowy biomes have colour changes more suited for cold biomes.

Full Changelog: v1.6.0...v1.6.1

1.6.0Релиз26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2 · 28 мая 2026 г.
  • Updated pack.mcmeta to allow the datapack to work on Minecraft 26.1.
  • Added Pam's Harvestcraft 2 Integration. (Trees and Crops)
  • Added Oh the biomes we've gone integration
    • This was already mostly done on their end I just added some things in that they had missed.
  • Added Climate Rivers integration.
  • Added broad compatibility for Ecliptic Seasons
    • This just covers biomes as I feel that Ecliptic seasons does a pretty good job of sorting crops themselves when in combination with this datapack and Serene Seasons API stub.
    • The aim of this is to ensure that biomes get the correct rainfall in the correct seasons so you don't get things like snow in jungles.
    • Currently this:
      • Tags all Icy and Snowy biomes as "cold" to make sure they get snowfall as much as possible.
      • Tags all tropical biomes as hot to make sure they don't get snowfall during winter.
      • Tags all savannas as "monsoonal" to make them have wet and dry seasons like in Serene Seasons.
      • Tags all deserts as "arid" to make them have very little rainfall.
      • Tags all jungles and swamps as "rainy" to make them have much more rain than most biomes.
      • Tags all badlands as "seasonal/hot" to make them have varied rainfall while still functioning as tropical biomes.
      • These changes add broad compatibility which should cover most mods out there without me needing to add direct compatibility (as long as mod authors have tagged their biomes correctly).
      • These changes differ from how I do things with Serene Seasons but this is intentional to fit in with how Ecliptic Seasons does things.
      • This is experimental and is subject to change or removal in the future if Ecliptic Seasons adds their own system for broad compatibility.
      • If you feel something doesn't seem right or needs changed in relation to this, then please open an issue on the Github issue tracker.

For the best results with Ecliptic Seasons I recommend using this datapack alongside a mod called "Ecliptic Seasons API Stub" which makes this datapacks integrations with Serene Seasons work with Ecliptic Seasons too!

(Link here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/serene-seasons-api-stub-ecliptic-seasons-bridge)

I would also recommend turning off "No rain in deserts" and turning off "Regional Snow Timing" in Ecliptic Season's config but those are more a personal preference of mine.

As a disclaimer: I will continue to primarily support Serene Seasons in the future and I am unlikely to add direct compatibility with Ecliptic Seasons in the near future but I will continue to support the broad compatibility that I have added in this update.

1.5.0Релиз1.20.5-rc3, 1.20.5, 1.20.6 · 23 марта 2026 г.

This is a direct port of v1.5.0 to Minecraft 1.20. Please note:

  • I cannot guarantee support of 1.20 in the future. 1.21 will remain the focus for now.
  • If I do support this version in the future it will likely recieve very infrequent updates and will fall behind the 1.21 versions.
  • I will still take requests for integration for 1.20 mods just so long as they have 1.21+ versions or that they will getting one in the near future.

Thank you and Enjoy!

1.5.0Релиз1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 · 13 марта 2026 г.
  • The mod version now supports Fabric!
    • As such I will now be accepting suggestions for Fabric mods to add compatibility for, so if anyone has any suggestions for any Fabric mods that they would like compatibility to be added for then please let me know!
  • Added Integration for Traverse
    • This includes making the Desert Shrubland a tropical biome as well as ensuring that Autumnal and Fir trees are fertile in the correct seasons.

1.4.2Релиз1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 · 22 января 2026 г.
  • Added Foul Berries and both Strawberry items to relevant Seasonal Fertility tags
    • This ensures that integration still works without Berry Good installed
  • Added Integration for My Nether's Delight, Gardens of the Dead and Enderscape.
    • This doesn't actually change any functionality just ensures that relevant items from those mods are labelled as being fertile year-round.

1.4.1Релиз1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 · 7 января 2026 г.
  • Added the Upgrade Aquatic stuff mentioned in the previous versions changelog that I forgot to include in the previous version.

Please see the changelog for v1.4.0 for details of what was added.

1.4.0Релиз1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 · 6 января 2026 г.
  • Removed some tag entries that have been made redundant by mod updates or were unintentionally duplicated.
  • Made Clifftree's Coniferous Badlands a tropical biome.
  • Added Upgrade Aquatic's worldgen features to Clifftree's beaches and river biomes.
  • Shortened the datapack's internal description to ensure it actually fits on the datapack selection screen.
  • Added some biomes to neoforge's "is_hot" tag to ensure that Farmer's Delight's wild tomato crops can generate in those biomes.
  • Added Clifftree's bog to neoforge's "is_cold" tag to ensure that it gets dynamic surrounding's ambience for cold swamp biomes.
  • Added Ecologic's coconut fruit block and Upgrade Aquatic's mulberry vine to their respective tree's tags so that those trees only grow fruit when they are in-season.
  • Made Vanilla's Pale Garden have lesser colour changes so that it's unique colour scheme remains consistent year-round.

Full Changelog: https://github.com/The-Bernician-Lamb/Seasonal-Integration/compare/v1.3.0...v1.4.0

1.3.0Релиз1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 · 22 декабря 2025 г.

This release marks a shift for this datapack towards adding more general integration between mods such as adding one mod's features to another mod's biomes that fit. The serene seasons integration will remain the highest priority but I feel it is good to expand the datapack into something slightly less niche.

  • Added Support for Enderman Overhaul

    • This is to ensure enderman variants spawn in modded biomes properly.
  • Added Support for Fruits Delight

    • This mod already has integration in terms of crops so this integration focuses on worldgen.
  • Updated Pack.mcmeta to allow the datapack to work on 1.21.11

  • Updated Integration for Existing mods

    • Added Neapolitan's Banana plants to Clifftree's Granite Shore and Tropical Beach
    • Added Clifftree's Tropical Beach to the "is_beach" tag.
    • Updated tags for Vanilla Backport to add the Spring to Life blocks to a bunch more modded biomes.
    • Made Clifftree's Tropical Beach have tropical seasons and made Clifftree's Temperate Beach no longer have tropical seasons.
    • Added Yung's Cave Biome's Creeping Ice to Serene Seasons Plus's "Meltables" tag.
