Nolla aims for creating a close to vanilla experience but with many quality of life, mechanics and visual improvements.

Welcome to Nolla

Picture of the Modpack logo This modpack aims to improve on vanilla, not being heavily disruptive of the main Minecraft experience, but greatly expanding on it by bringing together remarkable mods that we believe that works well together and complement themselves.

Beyond including optimization mods, Nolla expands on:

  • Structures generation with yung's better structures mods, and others;
  • Mechanics like gravestones and seasons;
  • Altered Nether and End generations;
  • Ambience focused mods like soundphysics;
  • Fights are improved with Better Combat;
  • Mods that enhance the multiplayer experience, with mods such as the Essential mod and the voice chat mod.

There are many other mods that can be checked in the list.

"Nolla" stands for "Not Vanilla". The name originated from the fact the modpack was originally supposed to be "Vanilla+", but quickly evolved to something different enough to a group of friends to decide to change the name. "Nolla" started as a joke placeholder, but the name stuck.

Multiple ways of farming, thanks to Farmer's Delight, and Multiple Ways of decorating with Suplementaries and Another Furniture.

Fix Update

Nolla Stopped Working because of a Essential Auto Update. This is fixed in this version.

  • Dependecies for uptade added.
  • Fabric Loader updated from 0.15.3 to 0.15.10.
  • Fast Load removed due to incompatibilities.
  • Shoulder Surfing removed due to incompatibilities.

Nolla is evolving.

It learned a new move: Branding.

Here Follows this version changes:

  • Nolla has changed it's appearance. Now it's recognizable that you're playing the most based modpack.
  • Even more optimization mods have been added. This modding comunity is a gift that keeps on giving.
  • Other included mods ranges from more visual changes, dirt and grass slabs, and enchant glint tinting.
  • The workbench now stores placed items, and display it's contents on the top, thanks to Visual Workbench.
  • Most Farms now grow faster during rain.
  • Once again, we removed Herobrine.

  • Nolla Textures. Now you can recognize when you are playing Nolla while on the menu, or if you see the golden compass.

Nolla has yet another change for the better. Here are the listed changes for 1.3.0 version

  • Kelvin's Better Player Animations (Port) has been tweaked to improve on animations. In case of animation glitches, please report on the discord link. Some animations like Essential emotes and playing the Flute from Sumplementaries are not working as intended. This is planned to be fixed on a future update, if possible.
  • It was noticed that the ESSENTIAL Mod was not recognized in the modrinth domain, probably because it was downloaded trough the official Essential site. This was changed so most mods are kept in the modrinth ecosystem.
  • More optimization mods have been added.
  • Sleep Tight has been added, making a change in the sleep system. Check the page mod for more information.
  • Shoulder Surfing Reloaded further improve third person. The game is now completely playable in this perspective.
  • Reacharound brings the block placement possibilities from Bedrock and even better. Now you can bridge much more easily, build over blocks above your height, and even build down. Also check the mod page for more info.
  • Added Do a Barrel Roll just for fun.
  • Removed Particle rain to prevent performance compromise.
  • Removed Herobrine.

Nolla 1.2.0 is here to shine. Here are the listed Changes:

  • Some more optimization mods have been added to further improve on performance. As well as some extra fitting mods.
  • Kelvin's Better Player Animations (Port) was added, togheter with Better Third Person providing a satisfying way of playing third person and seeing your friends movement on multiplayer.
  • More quality of life and small tweak mods added.
  • Removed Solid Mobs, since it was more of a nuisance than useful in this modpack.

  • Some keys were conflicting in multiple mods. This was changed to remove that incovenience.
