Modpack Info

You're a being just like any other, unique in some aspects, but affected nevertheless by a similarity that binds all, death. Each origin has it's own upsides and downsides, some are more powerful than others, but all change the default "human" gameplay to some degree.

The goal of this pack is to have a fun and accessible way of playing a difficult modpack with friends while making every life a unique adventure!

This modpack is centered around the Randomized Origins mod, forked from the New Life SMP (Unofficial) Modpack. I was taken by the gameplay that random origins adds and decided to expand upon similar modpacks in the following ways:

  • Porting to Modrinth.
  • Adding Sodium and other performance enhancing mods.
  • Significantly increasing the difficulty.
  • Adding additional Origins. (And some custom ones!)
  • Swapping the New Life mod for Randomized Origins, which has extended command options.
  • Adding additional Quality Of Life mods. (SO many)
  • Revamping terrain generation with the Terralith mod.
  • Significantly increasing the difficulty. (No, really)
  • And More!

This is a big one, I've added a bunch of mods and updated a ton as well. Also has some big config/gameplay updates.

  • SIHYWTCAMD tweaks many vanilla mobs to make them more difficult, find out specifics here: https://modrinth.com/mod/difficulty (I disabled phantoms flying through blocks, they're annoying enough as is).
  • There are quite a few building block additions, including some very magical ones.
  • Enderman Overhaul adds a bunch of endermen types, which are super fun.
  • I removed Enhanced Celestials and added in Lunar instead, it has additional options for moon-based events.
  • Lots of new passive mobs and variations with Axolotl variants, Pick Your Poison, and Wildlife, as well as Mythic Mounts for sweet tamed and rideable critters.
  • Added the Werewolf Origin and updated the other four Reincarnation Origins
  • Spectrum for another flavour of magic.
  • I disabled the ability for Villagers to sell Enchanted Books with Mending.
  • Villagers also remember what they were selling when you replace their profession block.
  • Added Easy Anvils which makes anvils much nicer to use to continually repair your items.
  • Do a Barrel Roll modifies flight of both Elytra and Icarus Wings, it's pretty entertaining. Configure this in your mod settings.

  • Added more mobs to the possible captains list.
  • Legendary Mob Captains (Flaming Crowns) have a 20% chance of dropping a heavily enchanted unique simply swords weapon. Every vanilla melee weapon enchantment can roll on these between level 0 and 1 higher than the vanilla max. e.g. Sharpness 0-6.
  • Buffed Mob captains, they are now faster, have significantly more health, and do more damage at all rarities.
  • Bosses of mass destruction bosses now correctly drop unique simply swords weapons.
  • Added a 100% chance to get a unique weapon when defeating the Graveyard Lich.
  • Graveyard Lich no longer scales with RPGDifficulty Distance.
  • Turned off Cave view on Xaero's minimap and map.
  • Put Ultris into ultra mode, buffing all bosses and making them significantly more difficult.
  • Added Orb of Origin to many more loot tables at a very rare chance. Both Vanilla and When Dungeons Arise. Most village loot not included.
