Overview
The Intended goal of Sankaku (三角) is to combine the simplistic charm of a Vanilla+ modpack with the captivating brutality of a hardcore modpack.
The night is unavioidable and challenging, but rewards the player for their endurance.
Death is much less punishing in Sankaku than in the base game. Players are allowed to keep most of their tools and weapons, and other items are placed inside a permanent gravestone. This gravestone can be located easily with a grave compass which is given to the player after they respawn.

Known issues
- the crazy cave generation does not always play nicely with underground structures. i'm working on a fix for this.
- iron shield randomly stops working. the wooden shield is a cheap alternative
- the main menu
- flint shards are practically invisible in snowy biomes, which makes the early-game a lot more tedious if you spawn there
- have not implemented an arachnophobia mode yet. not entirely sure if it is necessary. if someone complains, i'll do it
- zombies were previously unable to swim. now, they can... traverse(?) bodies of water. don't ask how i fixed it. i don't wanna talk about it.
Useful gameplay info
Intended early game -
You can't punch trees. deal with it.
How to deal with it: collect the necessary materials to craft an axe.
- get three plant fibers. break grass.
- get one stick. sticks can be found on the ground. or, break leaf blocks.
- get one flint. flint shards can be found on the ground, or, craft flint by using the crafting recipe which requires 3 gravel.
now, craft 1 string by inserting 3 plant fibers into your 2x2 crafting grid. then, combine all of these materials (string, flint, stick) in your 2x2 crafting grid to make a flint axe. you can search for the flint axe recipe, but it's not rocket science.
optional, but highly recommended:
- create a lantern and equip it in your belt slot. it'll cost you 8 iron ingots and a torch. do this asap
- make a wooden kite shield as early as possible. even if you decide to use a two-handed weapon, you should keep a shield in your hotbar or your back slot/belt slot
- make your base near a respawn obelisk. this should be a no-brainer. make a railway to the nearest waystone if possible. powered rail speed boost is twice as fast as it is vanilla.

updated everything. removed nvidium cuz it no worky with indium anymore which is pretty important i think. removed redundant bvb connectedtextures. removed craftprescence because i don't even know how to set it up yet. removed that one mod because it was messing up zombie spawn rates. removed creeper breaching because creepers would frequently try to breach vertically through a cave if you walked over one, which is not very practical on behalf of the creeper and players who don't understand the breach mechanic would probably just assume the modpack is broken and terrible. slowed zombie "swim" speed (they still can't swim properly). reset wf's cave overhaul config to default because my config was kinda dookey and i should probably just leave it at default values until i experiment more.

hotfix hotfix (rotn reference)
- i disabled sassot instead of removing it. oops. removed for real this time
- balanced minecart speed
- made lantern recipe more expensive. its too good to cost one iron. now it costs 8
- replaced heater shields with kite shields. the former took up 60% of the mf screen when i used it
- made kiteshield recipe not stupid

hotfix yipee
- removed sassot cuz it broke better combat on vanilla weapons. this was fixed in later versions but 1.20.1 isnt supported anymore :c
- added epic knights mod and removed everything except for the shields. made wooden shield recipe better. obliterated most non-shield items. added new shield items to natural soulbound

basically just QoL stuff
- added mouse tweaks
- axe no longer swings through wood (oops)
- removed stone and wood tools that had a flint counterpart
- WTHIT mob health indicator looks better (max heart display is now 20 instead of 100)
- added alternative recipe for flint axe (uses same materials)
- nerfed zombies a bit
- removed very many players (had significant impact on mob spawn rates)
- removed let me despawn for the same reason
