Introducing... Ideal Vanilla!

What is Ideal Vanilla?

It's yet another modpack that batches a bunch of optimization mods into one with mods that fixes bugs and improve the visual and audio design of the game in ways that suit the way a "modern" style within Vanilla without adding new gameplay content alongside the added bonus of controller support; Thus providing the ideal vanilla experience!

One of the countless improvements this modpack aims to perform reaches into the ability of playing with friends; The primary mod improving this experience is the mod "LAN World Plug-n-Play" providing a updated "Open to LAN" screen for a far simpler solution to opening your singleplayer worlds to a server for your friends to play with you!

Will Ideal Vanilla recieve updates be on the latest Minecraft Versions?

In the due time of all the mods included (or alternatives) coming to the latest versions, yes!

This is my goal in the longterm to be capable of providing this modpack for many versions to come for as long as I'm capable of doing so! afterall... this is a one person developed modpack

The current plan is release ALPHA builds of the modpack as soon as possible with the "baseline" mods for optimization and visuals, once this has been done a ALPHA build of the latest minecraft version for this modpack will release, as more and more mods release bringing it closer to the prior full "Release" version of this modpack I will then move into a BETA release of that latest Minecraft version and ultimately reach a stage where the latest Minecraft version can have a fully "complete" Release build of this Modpack!

Ideal Vanilla for Minecraft 26.1.2

This version has been focused to remove mods that have not been updated to 26.1.2 entirely in favor for modern alternatives.

Alongside this, the previously buggy update to Fancy Menu from Ideal Vanilla 1.3.4 Beta 2 has been fully resolved.

Moving Forward

Following this point, Ideal Vanilla will move to focus on being ported to the latest Minecraft release, 26.2 with Ideal Vanilla 1.4.0

Most mods from the last stable release are within this, 1.21.11 will not be updated again in favor for this more recent version as mods update to this version.

Ideal Vanilla 1.21.11 - Beta #2

This version fixes crashes and introduces more mods from prior versions that have now updated to 1.21.11.

The modpack now bundles with a few new resource packs including my recently released Vibrant Biomes resource pack!

Ideal Vanilla - 1.21.10 Release #1

The first non-beta/alpha release of Ideal Vanilla since 1.21.4!

This has been made as while I left the modpack for a little while, majority of the mods from prior versions have updated allowing Ideal Vanilla to fully thrive on the latest stable release of Minecraft, 1.21.10!

I wasn't ever expecting this modpack to get over 200 downloads, I originally only ever released this modpack so friends of mine could easily play the same mods and configs as me; I'm very greatful that over 200 downloads from you all giving this modpack a shot!

Ideal Vanilla v1.3.0 - 1.21.8 BETA 2

This release removes "Wayfix" by default as it caused issues with booting the game on non-wayland based Operating Systems.

A few extra enhancement mods/updates to mods that existed within prior versions have been included making this release for 1.21.8 closer to a stable 1.21.8 version.

The download for BETA 1 has been taken down due to the issues caused by including the "Wayfix" mod so below will be the changelogs made with BETA 1

Modpack Changes.

While this release is mainly to port the modpack as much as I can to 1.21.8 alongside integrating a few mods to make jungle leaves drop rate consistent with other leaves, enhance support for Wayland users and many small tweaks/fixes to the vanilla game without changing behaviours of Vanilla or prior versions of Ideal Vanilla.

Version Formatting Changes

With this release I have decided to declare this update as v1.3.0 and the first beta for 1.21.8

Prior to this as with 1.21.5 I declared v1.2.0 as the BETA release for 1.21.8; this approach is going to allow me to also develop v1.3.0 for 1.21.5 alongside 1.21.8 in the coming future.

v1.3.0 Development

Ideal Vanilla v1.3.0 started on Minecraft 1.21.5 and included major enhancements such as the addition of the "Carry On" mod to allow you to move tile entities around freely but with extra capabilities of picking up mobs being disabled by default within this modpack providing a vanilla friendly means to moving chests and other blocks alike without breaking them.

Many v1.3.0 config changes for existing mods from 1.21.5 have come to this release alongside pre-installed resource packs that you can enable for an enhanced experience!

Notice:

Mods that are disabled by default are intended to be used, just these mods can't be used on 1.21.8 as of the time of this release hence why this release of Ideal Vanilla is a "BETA" for Minecraft 1.21.8 and when the given disabled mods recieve 1.21.8 ports feel free to use them instead in the meantime until Ideal Vanilla has another release for 1.21.8

This version focuses on fixing small issues with the Main Menu, heavily improving audio design of the game for immersion and many config tweaks and introductions of more mods (and alternatives) that had been included within the 1.21.4 versions.
