Do NOT update any included mods - this can and will break things.
This will technically work on existing worlds, but it is highly recommended to initialize the expansion on a brand new Drehmal save. It is designed with normal progression in mind, and installing onto a pre-existing world will require lots of unnatural backtracking and will likely lead to missed content.
This is an UNOFFICIAL COMMUNITY PROJECT! Despite the fact that its lead developer is a member of the real Drehmal dev team and it was once known as the "DLC", the lore and encounters in this expansion deviate from the official canon, and should not be confused for an official piece of content.
THIS IS INTENDED FOR RETURNING PLAYERS ONLY! If you're playing the map for the first time, it is recommended to not play the game with any additional mods or expansions, including this one! While it does keep the base Drehmal gameplay loop roughly the same, Primal Journey's new content deviates significantly from the intended experience of the map at times, particularly in tone. This expansion is primarily meant to add new twists for returning players, not to be a default addition to the map for newcomers.

OVERVIEW
Drehmal: Primal Journey, formerly known as the Drehmal (u)DLC, is a modded expansion for the Drehmal v2.2: APOTHEΩSIS map. It adds a significant amount of content to an already sprawling map, with a focus on adding more challenging and fresh lightly modded gameplay for returning players, especially in the mid and late-game.

Hundreds of Unique Items: From weapons to consumables, there are HUNDREDS of new items each with their own new lore, functions and abilities.
Dynamic Quest System: Each town contains quests that are dynamically integrated within each area with their own dialogue, task and reward.
Advanced Trader Interactions: New ways to trade and interact with NPCs and also unlock progressively better trades as you advance through the story.
Multiplayer Compatibile: Everything in the DLC has been tested and integrated to work with multiple players.
Custom OST: 5 unique tracks made specifically for this expansion, made by waterflow.
Expanded Equipment & Accessories: Tons of new trades for weapons, armor, and accessories such as rings, necklaces, and belts, which are all designed to add depth to your loadouts.
Legendary & Mythic Gear: Contains brand new mythics and legendaries, all in line with base Drehmal design that fit seamlessly into the world with their own unique twists.
Rare Materials & Upgrade System: Find rare materials to upgrade equipment and sometimes unlock hidden abilities.
Special Currency System: Discover new currencies scattered throughout the world that can be used for purchasing rare items, and interacting with special NPCs.
New Mobs & World Encounters: Encounter dozens of new enemies with unique abilities that challenge your skills, both in story areas and the open world.
Runic Infusion & Enchanting: Upgrade virtually every piece of gear with the runic infusion system and enhanced enchanting mechanics, allowing for even deeper customization.
Structures & NPC Structures: New buildings containing new NPCs, items, and hidden secrets, encouraging even more exploration.
Expanded Rarities: New item tiers, including one that might even rival Mythics in raw power.

What's New?
The 3.0 update of the uDLC (the first to go by the Primal Journey subtitle) began as an effort to rewrite the older version's lore, bringing on two new devs as writers. This snowballed into a total overhaul of the expansion, massively increasing its total amount of content.

Extra Information
- Over 3000 combined hours have gone into the development of this pack, mainly done for our love of Drehmal and its community.
- Mods were chosen carefully and each integrated as cleanly as possible, trying to adhere somewhat to Drehmal's design philosophy.
- Client-side optimization as well as server optimization was one of my top priorities, so there should be minimal issues in this regard.
- This has been heavily playtested so hopefully there will be minimal bugs, if any that severely affects the general gameplay experience.

This leads to vastly better performance, less reliance on other mods, and allows for even more cool features with our own mods!
Rewrote everything.
Thanks to our lovely writers, pretty much all text has been rewritten to blend in with the world of Drehmal, rather than just a bunch of generic nonsense. This includes the lore description of EVERY item, every line of quest dialogue, and just about anything else you could think of.
Added Master Mode
Once toggled, major encounters such as bosses and story events will challenge you further with new attacks, tougher enemies, and more.
Advancement Rework
There are now advancements that will help you better track your progress with the DLC and challenges to push yourself over the edge.
Completely Overhauled Progression
Early and mid-game pacing has been rebalanced to include more content and it should feel a lot better and less grindy overall.
New Bosses
There are multiple brand-new bosses and several new combat encounters added in this update, including fresh takes on existing ones.
Primal Enemies
Powerful new enemy variants with unique abilities and loot will appear in dungeons and in your regular exploration.
Quest Revamp
All the quests have been fully rewritten, with several being moved or having their core mechanic changed to be more interesting or engaging. New quests have also been added to fill in the major towns without one.

Extra Info
This is going to be the last proper update... EVER. This has been a lovely process but nothing after this is going to surpass the thousands of hours put into this one update.
It is impossible to update from any previous DLC versions, do not try it.

Updated Datapack and mods to fit base drehmal 2.2.2
Added proper scaling and invulnerability to all dropped mythic items
Fixed bug involving Vahid’s quest not working
Reworked ethereal harvester to do 10% current max health true damage from 5% max health true damage and amount of mobs affected increased from 2 > 3, but now deals 20 true damage to self on hit (lore not currently updated)
Significantly improved amaranthine aegis visuals

Reworked Leviathan’s Coil visual clutter and weapon itself to no longer be two handed and it instead, has a 2 block default reach, from 3 and you also take 100% increased damage while wielding the short-ranged version, which is increased to 6 reach on-hit for 7 seconds, and any subsequent mobs hit with the weapon reduce your damage by 12.5% each, down to a minimum of 50% total damage. 5% of your damage dealt will be converted to lifesteal and if on max health, convert the extra healing into a temporary shield up to 20% of your maximum hp (30 sec cd). (lore not currently updated)
Reworked animations for each mythic, adding unique attack animations to each and changing existing ones to fit better
