A Creative Building Modpack for Multiplayer assembled for a new 2026+ community: The Block Academy

TBA is a curated Fabric 1.21.1 modpack designed for creative multiplayer servers. Whether you're building elaborate structures, running a community server, or just want a polished vanilla+ experience with 189 carefully selected mods.

v1.0.7 — Discord bridge moves out of the modpack

Removed two mods. The Discord ↔ server chat bridge, join/leave/advancement announcements, and /register <username> whitelist all still work — they now run through the slashAI Discord bot and the theblockacademy backend instead of in-process mods.

Removed

  • Fabricord (4.2.1) — Discord chat bridge. Replaced by the new @DeanBot client inside slashAI, which parses the Pterodactyl console WebSocket and writes back over RCON.
  • AutoWhitelist (1.3.3+1.21) — /register slash command. Now lives on the slashAI side and calls the backend's /mc/whitelist endpoint (validates the Discord ↔ MC link, then runs whitelist add over RCON). Auto-revoke on Discord leave is preserved via the backend's mc_audit table.

Notes

  • Mod count: 192 (was 194).
  • No functional change for players — same commands, same announcements, just served from a different process.

First TBA release with platform-specific builds. Mac and Linux players now have working webcam, screen share, and voice in-game — previously these were Windows-only because StreamCraft's LiveKit/FFmpeg natives only shipped for Windows.

The Modrinth App's Install button defaults to the Windows file. On Mac or Linux, pick your variant from the file list — using the wrong one means StreamCraft won't load (you'll see "failed to load native library" errors and no voice/video).   • StreamCraft 0.6.2 → 0.7.26 — adds platform-specific native bundles (LiveKit FFI, JNA, JavaCV/FFmpeg). This is what unlocks the Mac/Linux experience.

Fixed

  • Distant Horizons update prompt — suppressed the "New update available! 2.4.5-b → 3.0.2-b" popup on first launch. DH is pinned to 2.4.5-b deliberately; 3.0.x breaks server-side mixins (Travelers Backpack LanguageMixin crash, see v1.0.3 incident notes).

TBA v1.0.3 — 🎉 Out of beta

After 100+ patches on the Fabric 1.21.1 build, TBA drops the 0.9 prefix. No breaking changes vs 0.9.100 — this release bundles the 1.0 milestone with one new mod and one upstream update.

  • ShapeCraft 0.4.18 — Natural language block generation. Describe a custom block via /shapecraft and ShapeCraft generates a valid block model, picks textures, and injects it as a placeable block in real time. Fresh feature for the community — try it out!
