About

This is a small QoL modpack based on Adrenaline. This modpack is multiplayer friendly, and should not get you banned (not guaranteed). This mod pack has 4 goals:

  1. Be performant.
  2. Be fast to update.
  3. Improve QoL without changing the feel too much.
  4. Consist of libre* mods only.

Multiplayer

"Toggle Accurate Placement" is bound to APOSTROPHE. Do NOT use Accurate Block Placement Reborn/SmartPlacement on competitive servers, or you will risk a ban! (Disable it with APOSTROPHE)

Versioning

  • X is a mod list revision (addition/removal of a mod)
  • Y is the config revision (incremented every time a config tweak is added or changed)
  • Z is incremented when there's a version with only mod updates and little to no changes otherwise.

X.Y.Z is reset to 1.0.0 for every new MC release as different MC versions are very likely to have different mod sets available for them. (Taken from Simply Optimized's page)

Appendix

I know there are way too many optimization + QoL modpacks, but I (a nobody) end up doing something like this when I install Adrenaline for the 1e7th time. Hopefully you enjoy it.

*Barring Sodium, which is under the PolyForm Shield License 1.0.0. The license allows you to do anything you want to the mod except to make a fork that "competes" with the original. I am not a fan of this and think it should be illegal because it is monopolistic in nature (see below for reasoning), but I must include it because otherwise the modpack would be very slow.

If you were looking for the section on the Sodium and Embeddium drama, that has been moved elsewhere.

It's about time I actually stuck to my word about mod list changes not being meticulously described, this release is a MC version bump and that's pretty much about it.

  • /copydeathcoords to copy your death coordinates. It doesn't track /kill or a failed MLG for whatever reason, but it's better than nothing!
  • 1.21.8 support.

  • RenderScale, as it was not updated for a while.

The pack now supports Minecraft 1.21.7. In addition, some mods were updated.

Removed:

  • Noisium, as it is not compatible with MC 1.21.7.

Fixed:

  • Cubes Without Borders having a shipped config. Last release, this was the case, and I don't think I should be shipping a config, as the best options vary per OS and set up.

Added:

  • Noisium. Worlds should generate faster, with 100% parity to vanilla.

In addition, some other mods were updated (such as ViaFabricPlus, which took a bit), and the pack now supports Minecraft 1.21.6, as evidenced by the version number.

Even though I went on vaction for a few days, this pack is on 1.21.6, but it's base, Adrenaline, is still on a beta release for its 1.21.5 version. Not to throw hate to Adrenaline (without it this pack most likely wouldn't exist), it's just interesting to think about.

Added:

  • Don't Hide My Items: This mod makes bundles behave better (client-side). That's about it.

Other than that, this update will most likely be the last 1.21.5 release (1.21.6 already has snapshots), and some mods were updated.
