OptiPrime is a pre-configured client modpack built to reduce RAM consumption and increase framerates (FPS). It functions as an open-source alternative to OptiFine.
Functional Features
- Pre-assembled: A ready-to-use mod list. Requires no manual searching or testing of individual mods.
- Resource Management: Lowers memory allocation and stabilizes frametimes across different hardware setups.
- Open-Source Base: Compiled entirely from open-source projects, ensuring technical transparency and rapid updates.
- Multi-Loader Support: Actively maintained for NeoForge, Fabric, Forge, and Quilt.
Technical Foundation
Performance is achieved through a specific set of mods (exact list varies by loader and game version):
- Rendering:
Sodium/Embeddiumalters chunk rendering logic to increase FPS. - Memory:
FerriteCoreandModernFixreduce RAM usage and patch vanilla memory leaks. - Culling:
EntityCullingandMoreCullingskip the rendering of unseen entities and blocks to save CPU cycles. - Shaders:
Iris/Oculusprovide native compatibility for shader packs.
