Olde Worlde

Olde Worlde is a meticulously crafted Minecraft modpack designed to transport players back to the beloved Alpha and Beta eras, infusing the latest Minecraft versions with a profound sense of nostalgia. This Modrinth creation by RetroDim goes far beyond simple texture changes, aiming to recreate the distinct "feel" of early Minecraft.

Players will rediscover the iconic, wild terrain generation, including the signature far lands, reminiscent of a time before modern biomes. WARNING

This is not a 1 to 1 modpack for beta/alpha versions of Minecraft. This is pre-modern recreation using a bunch of mods that recreate a TON of features, mechanics, world generators and vibes of Alpha Minecraft. This is still Modern minecraft, and will likely have bugs and glitches. Certain mods that add "Mobs, Items, Mechanics" may be edited and or removed to help keep the pre-modern feel; So please keep world backups. tysm <3

Just as this is a alpha version, Things are likely to change with the upcoming alpha releases following this. BACKUP WORLDS and DO NOT USE ON SERVERS OR MAIN WORLDS

Upcoming Updates / News

  • Working on a OW Serverpack. Currently has some chunk performance issues; Will release like on version 1.1 to allow proper time to fix issues. Will release in two versions; With serverside plugins and permissions support and without plugins to allow more vanilla feel for servers.
  • Server.dat has been provided to allow connecting to the official US server til we can manage to optimize the SP files. Feed on the server performance is appreciated, Server playerlimit is set to 32

  • Fixed Creative to Survival Run enabler bug. Not sure what caused it but running is now only enabled in Creative
