Nimbus - An Optimization Pack

As of 30th July 2024, I have made the decision to discontinue the Nimbus project indefinitely. Reasoning will be provided in due course.
Welcome to the official Modrinth page for Nimbus, my new Optimization Pack, now on 1.20.4!
Based on Fabric (Formerly Quilt), Nimbus is an Optimization Pack which aims to provide you with a significantly faster and better Minecraft experience, compared to that of Vanilla Minecraft. This is done through the inclusion of a number of mods which improve a great variety of aspects about the game, the most significant of which include:
- Sodium, which provides a modern rendering engine for Minecraft, greatly improving performance while fixing graphical issues.
- Entity Culling, which takes advantage of async path-tracing to hide Blocks and/or Entities that are not visible to the player.
- StutterFix, which modifies the way threads work with the aim of reducing stuttering when generating chunks.
Nimbus also doubles as a base modpack, meaning that you can also use it as a base modpack for your projects! All I ask is that you credit me and let me know that you are doing so.

Nimbus 3.0.0
This is the third major release for my optimization pack, Nimbus. This pack comes with a new set of mods which have been freshly researched and get the best performance out of Minecraft for you.

Following a period of using the Beta release of Nimbus on 1.20.4 with no reported issues, I believe I can now take it out of Beta and call it a release. Please see the information below for a full list of changes.

This is a Beta release for Nimbus on 1.20.4. Please read the list below for what optimizations are included in this version. There are some that are still not present due to incompatibility, some that you will recognize and even some new optimizations, such as for chunk stuttering.

Deprecated as 1.20.4 fixes a critical bug, read more here.
This is an early release of Nimbus for Minecraft 1.20.3.
It does not contain nearly as many as optimizations as the previous 1.20.2 version, however, for those who would like to move to 1.20.3 as soon as possible, this version should suffice.
More stable releases will be provided as time goes on and I will be making dependency updates to the stable 1.20.2 version until further notice.
