IMPORTANT NOTES - READ FOR AN IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

This Resource Pack is currently in BETA V81.6! Expect SOME unfinished models & textures, as well as changes to existing ones until the project is fully released!

While this pack IS compatible with base game Vanilla - I HIGHLY recommend playing it with your favorite Modloader, such as Forge, NeoForge or Fabric AND AT LEAST the Sodium mod!

This is because this is a 512x512 high resolution resource pack, and Vanilla Minecraft suffers with high resolution pack performance in general - Sodium will at least make the game nicely playable, though other performance mods will help significantly too

This Resource Pack WILL have everything complete within it once FULLY released & out of Beta! Nothing locked behind paywalls!

RECOMMENDED VANILLA GAMEPLAY SETTINGS:

  1. Graphics MUST be on Fancy or higher - otherwise leaves won't render as see-through
  2. Framerate should be set to unlimited, regardless of using VSync or not - this helps maximize your FPS either way
  3. Mipmap levels should be OFF (You can increase these, but you'll LIKELY experience lag)
  4. Allocate AT LEAST 8GB of RAM/Memory in your launcher Java profiles to use this pack
  5. I highly recommend installing/adding your favorite font resource pack that installs a higher resolution font for Minecraft, as Minecraft's default font will seem very out of place otherwise XD

RECOMMENDED MODDED GAMEPLAY SETTINGS:

  1. Install Sodium or Embeddium or a related Server & Client Performance mod
  2. Install Lithium or Radium or a related Server Performance Mod
  3. Install Ferrite Core & Modern Fix - This will optimize Minecraft's RAM/Memory usage, as well as fix many bugs that cause issues in 1.21+ versions of Minecraft
  4. Install Sodium Leaves Culling or a similar leaves culling mod - This pack uses a lot of fancier leaf block models/textures, and such mods will make a marked improvement in your FPS
  5. Install MoreCulling, Substrate, Bocchium or related culling mods - these mods will cull the texture faces of blocks you can't see, which frees up Minecraft to render more important things that you can see
  6. Install Iris or Oculus if using Shader Packs
  7. Install Sodium Dynamic Lights or a similar dynamic lighting mod for maximum immersion while carrying Torches/Lanterns with this Resource Pack
  8. I highly recommend installing/adding your favorite font resource pack that installs a higher resolution font for Minecraft, as Minecraft's default font will seem very out of place otherwise XD

RECCOMENDED SHADER PACKS FOR IMMERSION & REALISM:

  • Complementary Unbound
  • Euphoria Patches (If using Complementary Unbound)
  • Kappa Shaders
  • Photon Shaders
  • Bliss Shaders or a variant of it
  • Any SEUS Shader or variant of it
  • MakeUp - UltraFast Shaders (Ideal for low end PCs & realism with maximum FPS)

The Wildborne Photorealistic VANILLA Resource Pack is the Vanilla Minecraft base Resource Pack for the upcoming Wildborne Modpack (Coming Soon!). It adds significantly more immersion, realism & high definition by overhauling Minecraft's base game textures, models, blockstates, GUIs & more - allowing you to become lost in the beautiful worlds you create with minimal intrusion to the gameplay

Transparent GUIs in this pack allow you to manage items, blocks, crafting, smelting, etc without blocking your views of the worlds/biomes/landscapes generated by the game

Torches & Lanterns can now be handheld like an actual torch/lantern (But will not emit light without a dynamic lighting mod or shaders)

Many other blocks & items have customized models to enhance detail and realism as you interact with everything in your worlds

CHANGES:

  • Reduced some texture resolutions to maintain sharpness/quality, but also shrink the pack size to upload it to Modrinth & CurseForge

  • DRASTICALLY simplified the Magma Block animation sprite textures to improve game loading/resource pack loading, file sizes, pack size etc

  • Increased yellowing of the color of Bone Blocks to distinguish them from lighter color blocks and give fossils a more ancient feel

  • Improved Note Block Top texture for consistency

  • Increased saturation/color on Copper Ores to make them more noticeable

  • Changed Chiseled Sandstone & Chiseled Red Sandstone textures to include Egyptian Hieroglyphs to match the more realistic theme of the pack

  • Improved Flame & Soul Fire Flame particles to be more consitstent with other fire FX in the pack

  • Tweaked Flint item texture to be more rough for future Wildborne modpack thematic consistency

  • Fixed Bamboo Door model textures with incorrect UV wrapping

  • Reduced Fire texture opacities so they aren't as camera invasive/screen blocking

  • Improved Melon Side texture to be more consistent in resolution with the Melon Top texture

  • Empty Map & Filled Map item textures

  • ALL Trial Chamber Monster Spawner textures

  • 4 Variants of Dirt/Coarse Dirt textures, which are randomly placed via BlockStates to give the world more natural feeling variety

  • Spyglass Scope Zoom textures

  • Mangrove Roots & Muddy Mangrove Roots textures

  • Oak Door block/item textures

  • NEW Horn Coral block texture

  • NEW Nether Portal block (The portal itself) texture/animation sprite

  • NEW Activator Rail item/block textures AND models (More depth/realism instead of a flat plane) - This includes realistic wooden supports for sloped activator rails

CHANGES:

  • Reduced size of ALL Recovery Compass textures to 256 x 256 without reducing quality to shrink the size of the pack for future textures/uploads to Modrinth
  • Replaced existing Hanging Sign GUIs with respective wood planks as the GUIs to reduce pixelation/jaggedness and cleanup artifacting due to Minecraft's lack of anti-aliasing while remaining thematically consistent with the overall resource pack
  • NEW SHORT GRASS, TALL GRASS, FERN & LARGE FERN BLOCK MODELS - This results in much fuller, more "fluffy" looking foliage to add to the immersion, depth and realism ^^ (Combine with the Wildborne - Worldgen & Data Tweaks dataoack to increase the amount of foliage during worldgen to add even more realism!)

CHANGES/IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Reduced a lot of current GUI, Mob FX, Particle & Icon Textures to 256 x 256 resolution or smaller - This yields a SIGNIFICANT load time speedup in Vanilla Minecraft ALONE WITHOUT sacrificing any quality in the looks of the pack, improves FPS performance in rain a lot in Vanilla & also shrinks the entire pack down to a size that Modrinth will work with with a few more added changes ^^;

  • Removed some problematic textures in the GUI tweaks that created unnecessary pixely edges or rendered poorly in game

  • Fixed face culling on ALL custom models - this should yield an FPS performance boost of ~5 - 20 FPS

ADDITIONS:

  • Added ALL Sculk related blocks (Veins, Sensors, Catalysts, Shriekers) & their related textures & animation sprites
  • Added Deepslate Tiles & Cracked Deepslate Tiles
  • Added custom models/textures for Soul Lanterns, including a handheld first person and 3rd person model, just like regular lanterns
