💿 New Feature: Presets!

Presets allow you to save an effect you've already set up to use it later again!

Saving a preset:

  1. Open the effect editor of an effect you would like to save.
  2. Click "save as preset".
  3. Enter a name and display material.

Using a preset:

  1. Open the show editor of the show to which you would like to add the pre-made effect.
  2. Click "new effect"
  3. Right click on the effect type you created a preset for.
  4. Select your preset.

  • Switched to the Adventure API and MiniMessage.
  • Added sorting button to show editor.
  • Added sorting button to view all effects editor.
  • Added scroll buttons to effect editor.
  • Added /em version command.
  • Always send re-open messages when leaving a GUI.
  • Pressing tab while editing an effect can pop up some suggestions (for example for Material and Particle parameters).
  • Shift + click to copy parameter value.

🔄 dX, dY, dZ ➜ Delta

Instead of having to set 3 seperate parameters, you can now set the delta of a particle in the Delta parameter!


⚠️ Version Support Changes

  • Dropped support: Spigot servers

You can still use Paper, Folia, Purpur and other Paper forks!

[Bug fixes]

  • Path and line effects exceeding last point when the speed and frequency are set to a high value.
  • Path wand kicking you because of a too large packet

🪄 New Feature: Wands!

Wands allow you to configure complex effects more intuitively and efficiently.

  • 🔨 Currently added: Path Wand → Obtain it using /em wand path

💡 New Effects

Bring your creations to life with these new effects:

  • Light – Adds static lighting effects
  • LightFlicker – Creates flickering lights
  • LightPulse – Generates pulsing light patterns

🧮 New Parameter: SplineType

  • The Smooth parameter has been removed
  • Replaced with a new, more flexible SplineType parameter
  • Supports:
    • BEZIER
    • CATMULL_ROM
    • POLY_CHAIN

🏳️ WorldGuard Region Flags

EffectMaster now supports custom WorldGuard region flags to trigger shows based on player movement:

  • enter, exit, first-enter, last-exit
  • delay-enter, delay-exit, delay-first-enter, delay-last-exit

Use region flags to play shows when players enter or leave specific areas — instantly or with a delay!


🔁 Update System

EffectMaster now includes an automatic update system that:

  • Converts old Smooth parameters to SplineType on load
  • Prepares the plugin for future updates without manual config changes

No more breaking changes — we’ll handle the transition for you!


⚠️ Version Support Changes

  • Supported: Minecraft 1.20.5 and newer
  • Dropped support: Versions 1.16 through 1.20.4

This change allows us to deliver a better and more modern user experience. Please update your server to a recent version to continue using EffectMaster.
