‘Not So Shrimple - Remolted’ is a mod that introduces a series of crustaceans, molluscs and other shell-adjacent mobs to the world of Minecraft.

Crayfish

Crayfish are massive aggressive crustaceans with a spiked pincer and crushing claw. They can be found roaming around in swamps and come in a variety of different colors; from an iconic blue to a dreary brown and some might have unique properties.

When killed, they have a chance to drop some delicious Prawn Meat, Somber Smithing Stones, and if your lucky they may even drop their Calloused Claw which can be used to craft a powerful weapon.

Maneater Shell

Maneater Shells are 6 legged molluscs that can be found near shipwrecks where they search for bodies to sate their appetite for human flesh.

When killed, they have a chance to drop Purging Stones.

  • Crayfish Burrowing - Crayfish remain in a burrow state until disturbed.
  • Creative Mode Swapping - Right-clicking on crayfish with certain blocks will change their variant:
    • Grass Block, Dirt Block = Normal Variant
    • Gold Block = Golden Variant
    • Ice Block = Ice Variants
    • Netherrack, Soul Sand = Nether Variants
    • End Stone, Purpur = End Variant

Fixes:

  • Fixed Nether Crayfish and Ender Crayfish Spawning
  • (dirty) Fix for Maneater Shell Texture Z-fighting
  • Variant Immunity: Crayfish variants are now immune to their appropriate environmental hazards

Changes:

  • Changed default smithing stone upgrade cap to 500 (can be changed in config).
  • Changed default somber smithing stone upgrade cap to 20 (can be changed in config).
  • Crayfish loot now allows for variant-specific drops (Golden Crayfish now drop Raw Gold)
  • Golden crayfish now spawn shiny particles

Weapons:

  • Clawbuster - A powerful sword with a charge attack which causes a shockwave that scales based on fall height

Items:

  • Calloused Claw - Crafting material used to craft the Clawbuster
  • Raw Prawn / Cooked Prawn - A prime specimen of plump and moist meat
  • Smithing Stone - Enhancement material used to increase item durability
  • Somber Smithing Stone - Enhancement material used to increase weapon damage or armor protection
  • Purging Stone - A stone formed from a living being. Used to clear negative status effects
