Woah this is one Buff Illager, Meet the Mutant Iceologer. This guy is a BEAST when it comes to fighting so be careful or you might be in for not a N-Ice time!

In the Mutant Iceologer Mod, it adds a new mob that is a recreation of a popular Bedrock Add-on of mine based on the Iceologer from Minecraft Dungeons It is part of the illager team that spawns in the snowy biomes at night time and will throw Ice Chunks at its targets such as villagers, iron golems, players, and snow golems! This is a BEAST of a mob so be prepared for a battle!

Mutant Iceologer:

An ice-summoning Illager who is the real deal when it comes to fighting, you do NOT want to mess with this guy, He uses his magic to summon huge ice chunks and throws them at you, and even ground pounds! It spawns in snow biomes at night time, killing it will drop some emeralds along with blue ice, snow blocks, and a new type of Ice block called The Chilled Spike Block.

Health 150 (75 hearts)

If you manage to kill this fierce foe, it has a chance to drop a new block called The Chilled Spike Block

This block is used as ammo for the Iceologer Staff and can also be found in the creative menu along with the Mutant Iceologer and the Iceologer Staff.

To craft the Iceologer Staff you will need 2 Iron Rod's, Iron Rod's can be crafted as shown below.

Once crafted you will need to Chill them, to Chill them you can right click a Cauldron full of Powdered Snow.

And finally to craft the Iceologer Staff you will need 2 Chilled Iron Rod's, and 1 Chilled Spike block.

  • Added Better Combat Support.

  • Fixed how the Iron Rod's and Chilled Iron Rod's are held.

  • Fixed an issue where the Mutant Iceologer would have trouble climbing up blocks.

  • The Mutant Iceologer now can vault over 3 block high walls to get to the Player.

  • The Mutant Iceologer's ice throwing attack is now easier to dodge.

  • Direct hits now will also deal more damage than if the projectile hits the Player from the side.

  • Reworked the Mutant Iceologer Pathfinding and AI.

  • The Mutant Iceologer will now use the ice throwing attack if you are more than 10 blocks away and ground pound if you are up close.

  • Added Iron Rod's, Iron Rod's can be chilled into Chilled Iron Rod's and then crafted into a Iceologer Staff.

  • Added The Iceologer Staff, Harness the power of The Iceologer inside of you and YEET them ice blocks at your foes with 200 uses before breaking but will require a Chilled Spike block as ammo.

  • Added a new advancement "Iceologer's Revenge" that requires you to kill a Glow Squid using an Ice Staff.

  • Fixed incorrect death messages getting displayed when killed by a Mutant Iceologer

  • Fixed an issue where the Mutant Iceologer attacks a mob the Ice Chunk will always go to the player, even when its not the target.

  • Fixed an issue where the Mutant Iceologer didn't react to Villagers and Villagers didn't react to the Mutant Iceologer.

  • The Mutant Iceologer will now prioritize Iron Golems rather than Villagers.

  • The Mutant Iceologer now does incresed damage to Iron Golems.

  • The Mutant Iceologer will now melee attack non-player entities until the target entity has low HP and then throws Ice Chunks at them.
