Mod Overview 🎶Add some extra noise to your Worlds. Adds 50+ Music Discs, ranging from all types of genres from many artists. As well as back porting newer vanilla discs.

Adventure ⛏️Find discs in unexplored vanilla structures, craft new ones and gamble your odds for exclusives.

Music Festival (Minigame) 🎸Play select songs in a Music Festival to show off your skills.

Playing Music Festival 🎼Play earn score and get rewards. Maybe you can exchange some of your earnings for pure diamonds. If you have any questions let me know.

Commands and other important information:

  • /reloadfestival - If an update comes out or the music game is broken, type this in chat to regenerate the entire dimension.
  • /stats - Flex your stats based on the points you've scored.
  • /audiolatency - Add or remove delay from when a song will start playing.
  • /noteparticles - Set the amount of break particles per note (default: half).
  • /toolorder - Set your preferred tool layout.
  • /shop - Convert between your gold and diamond stars, or find podiums around the festival to trade.

If you decide to remove the mod please follow:

  • open level.dat and remove tag from "music_disc_expansion:music_game" (Data > WorldGenSettings > dimensions > music_disc_expansion:music_game)

This will save your world from possible corruption

New Festival Track

Moog City (Epic Remix) by SirTeacup | Difficulty ★★★☆☆ Early access

Changes:

  • Backported 26.2 music disc 'Bounce' by fingerspit; obtained through mystery disc.

  • New music disc aurora by Avonrift, run your favorite shaders pack and watch the aurora borealis in the Arctic or Antarctic regions of your world. Recommended and popular low performance shader (Complementary): https://modrinth.com/project/HVnmMxH1

  • Fixed the tooltip for Disc Packs. Yes, it actually displays the song not just 'Music Disc' now.

  • New level stat to flex, more functionality coming later; just getting the basics now for future systems.

  • New way to scrap spare music discs through the stonecutter (Testing phase, the idea being for other disc mods allowing blank disc capabilities Looking for feedback if it should stay or not).

  • Small optimizations of old code better multiplayer support, there was a surprising amount of bugs so I'm sure I haven't caught them all.

  • Improved overlay for playing a song. For some reason gametime is very finicky and so the time left for the song isn't set up yet (gave up after 6hrs but ill likely try again..).

  • Crediting the correct artist for the caution and crisis remix of Sweden.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed joining by jumping over the barrier again...
  • Fixed major bug with dying in the void and staying in adventure mode permanently.
  • Fixed MMR and completion stat inconsistencies.
  • Remove JEI roll for disc otherside in mystery disc.
  • Remove unobtainable tag from Sweden (Caution & Crisis) disc.

Sweden Hotfix & Menu Update

Sweden (Caution & Crisis) finished!

The menu now works!

CHANGES:

  • Sweden (Caution & Crisis) finished, your highscore was adjusted to fit the max score.

  • Clone any disc in the music box.

  • The menu now works! Scroll through the menus at light speed.

  • Music stage 2 is available, so you can play multiplayer.

  • Otherside has been removed from the mystery disc loot pool, since it is found in the Ancient City already.

  • Better display for highscores and more stats displayed.

  • Completion tracker in stats to know how much youve truly grinded.

BUG FIXES:

  • Your highscore for Victory is properly saved.

  • Fixed an oversight where you were able to play a song without being a player by jumping over the barrier.

  • If you happen to get stuck in the song stage your inventory will no longer be cleared after leaving.

  • Fixed a really annoying bug where song stages would fill after using '/stats advanced'.

  • "/reloadfestival" will now reset players availability on the stage.

  • Small menu changes and more ui displays.

If your world doesn't auto update use "/reloadfestival"

Sweden Update

NEW TRACKS:

Sweden (Caution & Crisis) by MrSuicideSheep | Difficulty ★★ (after hotfix)

Sweden (EDM Remix) by VGR | Difficulty ★★★

CHANGES:

  • New Command "/toolorder" - set your preferred tool layout.

  • New method for Cloning Festival discs (may expand to all discs in the future)

  • Added storage to the Music Box; storing extras stars and disc packs you've curated

  • GUI changes for both the Music Box and Disc Pack.

  • More saved statistics with command "/stats".

  • Highscores are now saved and stored in "/stats highscores". Get to grinding those stats!

  • Now see your streak above your score.

  • "/shop" to convert between your gold and diamond stars, or find podiums around the festival to trade.

  • Testing some building designs. (Things are bound to change)

  • JEI improvements

IMPORTANT INFO:

  • You may need to type "/reloadfestival" to update your world. (Should auto do it)

  • Amethyst disc had a registry change, so if you lost this item type "/give @s music_disc_expansion:disc_amethyst".

  • Next update: Otherside will be removed from the mystery disc loot pool, since it is found in the Ancient City already. So get it before you can't anymore.

BUG FIXES:

  • Songs will no longer play after leaving a track before it starts.

  • Hoppers now function properly when funneling in and out of a Music Box.

  • Fixed XP exploit.

  • Many festival update bugs were fixed.

Main changes

  • JEI Support for Music Festival items. No more guessing recipes!
  • New command "/noteparticles" - set the break particles per note (default: half).

Bug fixes

  • Removed unintentional spawn eggs.
  • Music Festival advancements are no longer granted just by picking up the corresponding disc.

Yes I know the Festival menu doesn't work yet. It's turning out to be more challenging than expected, but don't worry the next update will have a lot of content.

MUSIC FESTIVAL is here!

  • Expect bugs! It is still alpha.

  • Fixed bug at 66 -51 61 and 82 -51 61 where you were rendered in a versus battle and now will only be accessible in the Music Festival (needs world download for versus currently).
