Release 1 should work 1.19.2+, have not tested lower versions
Release 2 requires 1.19.4+ for Joltik's jump power to function
Release 3 should still require 1.19.4+
ON 1.21.1+ CURRENTLY IF ANYONE IS PLAYING AS SPINDA YOU NEED TO PUT THE DATAPACK IN YOUR RESOURCEPACKS FOLDER AS WELL (thank mojang for removing something vital)
Pokecraft! A project I will be adding more and more to over time, this'll just be a bunch of Pokemon but as origins. I'll usually add new ones in sets of three, and am currently trying to focus on creating for 1.21.1 first and 1.20.1 second!
Descriptions

Release 1.0 Origins
Swirlix
+Sugarspun: You can entangle enemies with some extra sugar to stop them in their tracks, at the cost of a bit of hunger.
+Cotton Candy Body: Your light fluffy body is able to move faster and periodically float around.
+Sweet Tooth: You can eat sugar faster than other foods.
-Empty Stomach: You hunger much faster, and when too hungry become grumpy, causing you to be slower and your abilities not to work.
-Caramel: Heat sources will melt your sugar, draining your hunger at especially concerning speeds.
+/- Munch-Sized: You can crouch into single-block spaces.
Oshawott
+Razor Shell- Slash at opponents with your Scalchop.
+/- Scalchop- Choose for yourself a weapon to bind as your Scalchop. You will never lose it upon death, and it will be stronger, but all other forms of damage you deal will be weaker. If you want to unbind the item, hold a nautilus shell in your offhand.
+/- Aquatic- You can hold your breath longer underwater and swim faster, but you will become weaker the longer you are way from it.
+Aqua Jet- Dash in the direction you face while underwater.
+/- Small Warrior- You are somewhat smaller than average. Easier to move through the water that way.
Spinda
+Own Tempo- You dance to the beat of your own drum. Visual effects will not confuse you.
+Dizzy Punch- You have a chance of confusing your opponent when hitting them.
+/- Wobbly Pace- Your wobbly steps cause your speed to randomly change up.
+/- Little Friend- You're a bit smaller than standard.

Release 2.0 Origins
### Joltik
+Static Electricity: You can gain static by running across metal blocks, being around other entities, being struck by lightning, or riding on entities. You exhaust faster unless doing any of these.
*Riding other players will drain their hunger slowly but give them speed
+Electroweb: Using static, you can web the area around you.
*You can move through web without issue
+Hopper: You do not naturally jump a full block, but you can use static to hop midair multiple times.
+Tiny: You are incredibly small, making you immune to fall damage but reducing your reach.
+Static-Dependent: Your health will vary between 4 and 8 and speed your speed changes drastically depending on your stored charge.
+Electric Type: You take less damage from lightning.
Magcargo
+Escaping Flames: The flames that escape through your shell will occasionally cause you to catch fire.
*Don't worry, you're fireproof
+Smelt: You can cook or smelt about four items in your hand at a time using the heat of fire.
+Flare Up: Harness the fire consuming your body to temporarily boost how fast you mine any pickaxable blocks.
+Snail's Pace: You move slower than normal.
*You move faster in hot areas such as deserts or the nether, but slower in cold conditions
+Hot Hands: When on fire, you mine faster and your bare hands are hot enough to harvest natural stone, but you mine pickaxable blocks slower in the cold.
+Nether Spawn
+Hardening: Entering too cold of a biome or coming in contact with cold blocks will cause your lava to begin to harden, which can result in death, and rain and water will drastically slow you.
*This will not happen if you are on fire or very close to certain heat sources.
*You will take extra damage from freezing though
+Lava Body: Leather armor will burn up if you try to equip it.
Bidoof
+Beaver Teeth: You can climb on wood and break it much quicker with your strong teeth. Other blocks break a bit faster as well.
*Wood breaks at normal speed when you are underwater or in the air
+Moody: You will receive a brief random status effect every time you gain an effect.
+Unfamiliar: You must have some wood nearby to sleep, and your health and speed are slightly reduced when not around it.
+Webbed Feet: You are ever so slightly faster in water.

Release 3.0 Origins
Varoom
+Shift Gear: Upon revving up, you can choose one of 4 speeds to boost yourself to. However, the time you can boost yourself for is halved every time you increase your speed and you will be immensely slowed afterward.
*Begin choosing a speed with [Primary], click again to up the speed
*The longest speed boost lasts 1 minute
+Spin Out: Activate this ability to temporarily steal the speed of enemies you hit, stacking up to speed 3 for yourself.
*You have a small window to hit enemies once you press [Secondary]
+Lightweight: You are slightly smaller and move faster, but to maintain your high speeds you are extremely lightweight, You cannot wear armor heavier than iron, and you take increased knockback.
*1.5 blocks tall
+Gotta Go Fast: Any slowness effect inflicted upon you will immediately gain an extra level to it.
+Double Immunity: You're used to toxic fumes, they won't affect you.
Snorlax
+Insatiable Appetite: You are primarily meant for sleeping, so you will exhaust much faster, however you are not picky about what you eat, and can consume entire blocks worth of mushrooms, dried kelp, and more.
*Consume unusual foods marked with an "Edible" tooltip using [Primary]
+Immunity: Your strong stomach is immune to ailments from food such as spider eyes, and even a Muk's poison could not affect you.
+Body Slam: Throw your weight around. Falling from 5 or more blocks will damage anyone you land on, and the damage will slightly increase or decrease depending on how well-fed you currently are.
+Ginormous: You are significantly larger at a full 3 blocks tall and notably slower, but your size allows you increased reach.
+Rest: You aren't meant to be awake all the time. Every time you sleep, you will recover half your health and hunger, however for every night you don't get at least a little rest, you will require more food to keep your stomach full.
Avalugg
+Glacier-Ride: When touching water or ice, others can ride on you. You move especially fast keeping your head above water, but slower on land.
*These movement modifiers always apply, not just when being ridden
+Like Water
+Durable Freeze: Your ice is durable when kept adequately cold, providing +2 hearts and +3 armor. This gradually reduces as your body cracks.
*Fragile when not cold, you can be reduced to 8 hearts when extremely cracked
+Ice Body: The ice that makes you up begins to crack under the sun unless you are in water or the biome is cold enough. Being within cold blocks or biomes will reduce your cracks and the blocks will even heal you if there are no cracks to fill.
*You take no frost damage
+Icemelt: Your cracks are greatly expanded when on fire, and the speed at which they form is faster in hot areas like deserts or The Nether.
+Titanic Proportions: This particular iceberg is about 3 blocks tall. You have slightly increased reach to compensate for the extra height.
+Old Wounds: Icebergs cannot use boats. They know what they did.\

Note (3/1/26): Some things have changed in 1.21.1 though (thanks Mojang, removing those shaders was really rude of you), so some changes to the format of things may come in the future, since already 1.21 has made me require a resourcepack for an ability of Spinda's that didn't previously need it. I don't like requiring a resourcepack, but it will also allow me to make a lot of things more visually interesting. I hope to finally have release 4 ready soon, and then perhaps an overhaul on some of those visuals (resource bars/gui things, etc). Until then, thank y'all for appreciating my silly little passion project <3

CURRENTLY DUE TO MOJANG REMOVING SOMETHING, IF ANYONE IS PLAYING SPINDA EVERYONE NEEDS TO ALSO PUT THE DATAPACK IN THEIR RESOURCEPACKS FOLDER
Also due to some things with Joltik, the pack still requires Pehkui, however I do plan to look into overhauling a bit to be able to remove that dependency eventually
Apologies, this one is extremely long however I did so many things I have been wanting to do for so long (alongside general updating). Also sorry this took me so long, it be like that I have a life unfortunately
- Slightly tweaked various tooltip wordings
- General 1.21 update things
- Swirlix and Snorlax's eating powers now use origins:edible_item (can be eaten like normal food) instead of bound keys
- Varoom's gears are now all slightly faster
- Nerfed how quickly Swirlix hungers in hot biomes to just be actions make you hungry faster (similar to how you already get very hungry) instead of a constant rate of exhaustion that's the exact same as when you're on fire as the origin
- Made sugar a slightly better food source for Swirlix
- Increased range on Swirlix's Sugarspun from player reach to 10 blocks
- Slightly increased Razor Shell's range to 4.5 blocks, it's damage from 2 to 3 hearts, and added sound effects
- Condensed Bidoof's giant wood condition to one goddamn tag
- Increased Varoom's Spin Out duration
- Varoom's Gear Shift now modifies total speed rather than base speed
- Gear Shift also temporarily uses commands to modify speed rather than the conditioned attribute power type due to a bug with origins. This occasionally causes small delays on the speed applying
- Oshawott's Scalchop will now be unbreakable once bound, and will not break upon being unbound (it does lose the unbreakable property on unbinding)
- If anyone is playing as Spinda everyone will need to also put the datapack in the resourcepacks folder and activate it. Thank Mojang for that one.
- Buffed Spinda's Dizzy Punch to 5 seconds and fixed the status effects apparently only lasting half as long as they should. My bad I'm not good at math.
- Changed Spinda icon to red glazed terracotta
- Extended time on Oshawott's extra underwater breathing
- Oshawott's bar visualizing how weak it currently is away from water should now be visible whenever there's any weakness in effect
- Magcargo Smelt cooldown halved, since smelting in both hands at once won't work currently
- Increased Magcargo's Flame Body fire duration
- Added particles to Flame Body and combined the second instance of it in the description (referring to burning leather armor) with the first instance of it (referring to randomly bursting into flame) into one new Flame Body description
