Collector's Caravan February 2026 Newsletter

February is here! and with its start, a new update is dropping off today. After around a month of not updating, the Collector's Caravan team has been busy adding new and exciting things to the mod.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This update comes with lots of new things to see, but it is a groundwork for future updates at the same time. Lots of new items, a couple of mobs and achievements were added, but there's a lot more to come!

What's new?

Among all the cool collectibles you can find... now some of them (2 so far) have the description of "This item can be used to make a sample" in yellow text.

"Moa feather" and "Great Auk feather" are new items that have this special mark, and you can now take them to the new "Sample extractor".

This new block lets you extract the DNA from items with the sample mark and it gives you a DNA tube. The DNA tubes can taken to the sample infuser and be turned into the new eggs!

These new eggs come in block form, they can be placed down and remain in block form until you decide to break them open. If you break these eggs, the mob will come out.

If you did all this then CONGRATULATIONS, you now have an extinct species!

Conclusions

This was a huge update, but most importantly it lays the groundwork for lots of future updates. With the introduction of the extractor and infuser, there are a lot of possibilities for the mod. So far, update 9.0.0 is in very early stages of development, but what I can say now is that dinosaurs will be ability in the update!

Changed bug despawn to despawn when they're unloaded.  Too many butterflies spawn and they don't go away.

Small update

Just bug fixing and added the "Tamed" Bundle monster,

You can now right click a bundleblock with amber and it'll create the new bundlemonster.

Right clicking the tamed bundle monster with a cinnamon roll will make it drop items and rarely also drops bug nets with bugs. You can also right click the bundle monster without a cinnamon roll and it'll wave at you. And lastly, having a cinnamon roll on your hand will make the tamed bundle monster follow you

Collector's Caravan 6.0.0:

Update 6 brings lot's of collectibles and changes, with lot's of new items to add to your collection!

Let's jump right into update 6:

7 New Primal stones/ Cave paintings have been added, each their their descriptive names: -Spear -Runner -Sprinter -Sun -Prey -Hand -Hunter

Along with this change, you can find these by slaying Bundle Monsters or buying the Primal Stone Bundle with the Collector VIllager! (The 7.0.0 update and above will include structures with these Stones, but as for now you can find them like this)

6 New Tiki mask were also added! these are not wearable but they serve as decoration blocks, the variants are: -Tiki Mask Mad -Tiki Mask Livid -Tiki Mask Calm -Tiki Mask Observant -Tiki Mask Happy -Tiki Mask Rare

The "Tiki Mask Rare" has a 1% Chance of dropping from big bundle monsters. A truly prestigious item to own.

4 New wearable hats are now available: -Small Tiki Mask -Small Tiki Mask Livid -Inuit Goggles -Canadian Tribal Mask
