🥔 Create Potato

A simple Minecraft Create modpack that focuses on performance and utility.

Up to 100% more FPS on Low-End PCs (12 Chunks) Up to 100% more FPS on Low-End PCs (12 Chunks), performance tested on integrated graphics (Ryzen 5 4500U, Vega 6).

🚀 Performance

Create Potato ensures an optimized and smooth playing experience across all devices. Faster load times, more efficient chunk-loading and an overall smoother experience, allowing for more Creating!

🛠️ Utility

Create Potato includes a number of utility mods that make the overall playing experience more comfortable. These are:

  • Full Brightness Toggle (G)
  • EMI (+EMI Enchanting, EMI Loot, EMI Ores and JEI)
  • Mouse Tweaks (please refer to mod page for details)
  • Xaero's Minimap
  • Xaero's World Map (M)

[!NOTE] These mods are all client-side and DO NOT AFFECT performance.

🎨 Shaders & Resource Packs

Thanks to Iris Shaders and Continuity, this modpack supports shaders and resourcepacks. This allows for better performance even on high-end PCs.

This update moves from JEI to the modern EMI for a cleaner and more informative experience.

🍱 The EMI Overhaul

We've shifted to EMI because it offers superior recipe tracking and a more modern UI. Added mods:

  • EMI
  • EMI Enchanting
  • EMI Loot
  • EMI Ores

Removed mods:

  • JER

🥔 Create Potato v1.1.0 - The Optimization Refresh

The modpack description and style have been modernized.

🚀 Performance & Engine Update

  • NeoForge Updated: Moved to version 21.1.225. This fixes several crashes and allows for better mod compatibility.
  • Mod Refresh: All mods have been updated to their latest versions to ensure you have the latest bug fixes and optimizations.

🛠️ New Optimization Mods

  • Added ModernFix: Optimizes memory usage and fixes engine-level performance bottlenecks.
  • Added More Culling: Improves FPS by not rendering things you can't see, specifically optimized for fences, glass, and complex block shapes.

⚙️ Optimized Configuration

Overhauled the default settings included in the pack to ensure the game runs the moment you hit "Play":

  • Default Render and Simulation distance to 9 chunks
  • Adjusted Entity Distance to 0.7 (70%).

⌨️ Quality of Life

  • Fixed a conflicting key: CTRL + Z now enlarges the minimap.
  • Removed leftover Fabric entries for a faster boot time.

Note: If you use Shaders, check your keybinds to avoid conflicts with JEI's 'R' key!
