TrueLightFX Shader for Minecraft
TrueLightFX is a custom Minecraft shader based on the open-source Prismarine Shader. This shader aims to enhance the visual experience of Minecraft by adding realistic lighting, shadows, and atmospheric effects while maintaining good performance. With TrueLightFX, players can enjoy immersive gameplay with improved light dynamics, smooth water reflections, and vibrant colors—perfect for both low-end and mid-range systems. - Set the default performance preset to Medium on first startup
- Aligned default shader settings with the Medium preset profile
Fixes
- Fixed glowing plants, flowers, and ores (spore blossoms, glow berries, glow lichens, etc.) not emitting light on Low, Medium, High, and Ultra presets
- Fixed a bug where the shaderpack would display as "Custom" instead of "Medium" on first startup

TrueLightFX v5.1 - Compatibility & Bugfix Update
This release brings full compatibility with Minecraft 1.20 through 1.21.2, addresses a critical rendering issue that made the player model look transparent, and optimizes performance presets.
Features & Improvements
- 1.21+ Compatibility: Fully updated block mappings for modern Minecraft versions (1.20 - 1.21.2).
- New Animated Blocks: Added waving animations to Cherry Leaves, Pale Oak Leaves, Dry Grass, Hanging Moss, and Moss Carpets.
- Realistic Waving: Adjusted waving speed and algorithms to be much more natural and realistic.
- Updated Emissives: Added support for Copper Bulbs, Trial Spawners, Vaults, Crafters, Creaking Hearts, and Resin Blocks.
Performance
- Shadow Map Optimization: Optimized shadow map resolutions across performance profiles to improve FPS.
- Low-End Optimization: Disabled generated normals, specular, and emissive calculations on the Minimum profile for a significant FPS boost.
- Vertex Math: Streamlined waving calculations to reduce GPU overhead.
Bug Fixes
- Player Transparency: Fixed the bug where the player model and held items would appear transparent/see-through in third-person view on land and near water.
- Falling Speed Glitch: Fixed waving speed accelerating when the player moves vertically or falls.
- Copper Bulb Typo: Fixed a block properties typo that prevented oxidized copper bulbs from glowing correctly.
- Refraction Artifacts: Fixed incorrect refraction masking affecting entity outlines.

TrueLightFX V4.4
This update focuses on improving lighting calculations, shader stability, and environmental animations. Several internal shader files were optimized to make the rendering more consistent and reliable.
Improvements
Sun Angle Calculation
The shader now uses sunAngle instead of worldTime for calculating the sun position. This results in smoother day and night transitions and more accurate shadow fading during sunrise and sunset.
Cloud Rendering
Cloud rendering has been adjusted to better match the sky lighting and exposure. This improves overall visual consistency in different weather and lighting conditions.
Waving Animations
The waving system for vegetation has been improved. Grass, plants, and other foliage now move more smoothly and naturally.
Lighting Adjustments
Improvements were made to the deferred lighting pipeline to create more consistent brightness and better environmental lighting.
Fixes
Fixed advanced materials compatibility issues.
Fixed shadow fade timing issues.
Fixed minor problems in the hand rendering shader.
Fixed lighting inconsistencies caused by previous time calculations.
Cleaned up shader configuration settings.
