
Reverie
Shader with a foggy and warm look. It leverages new features added by Iris for effects previously impossible to achieve.

Reverie is a minecraft shader with a semi-realistic, dreamy style. It features a physically based atmosphere and advanced indirect lighting techniques.
Support for both Distant Horizons and Voxy is available, with more mods coming in the future.
Dynamic weather system
Weather elements such as cloud cover, fog, and wind direction adapt dynamically based on biome, season, and altitude. Still, having every location always look the same would feel repetitive. To keep things fresh, these parameters are slightly randomized every time the shader loads, so each day looks unique, much like in the real world!
Powerful & Customizable
Reverie has a streamlined customization system. Most light colors are customizable (with more to come). If you're performance constrained, then rest assured. Set the profile to 'Toaster' and enjoy good performance (60fps on my laptop's integrated graphics) with minimal visual compromises.
Beautiful screenshots
The built-in screenshot mode freezes the weather, so you can get your shots lined up just right! Enable cinematic effects like depth of field, lens flare or chromatic aberration, to get the vibe you want exactly. Reverie also has advanced color balancing options, as well as several tonemappers to choose from.
Requirements
- Iris 1.8 or higher.
- Minecraft 1.21+ (older versions might work)

This is a smaller release that contains critical bug fixes for 26.2. The next release will be v1.0, exiting the beta stage.
- Replaced water wave tessellation with a parallax effect. This fixes a few bugs, including a driver crash with 26.2
- Fix GTAO and make it significantly less noisy
- Improve clouds upscaling & make them clip the tonemap less
- Added (experimental) border fog
- Fixed flickering banners
- Add support for chunk fade on 1.21.11+
- Add support for labPBR porosity & fix metals handling

- Fix an issue that causes block entities to render incorrectly
- 'Simple' fog now uses depth information to calculate light shafts (effect known as 'godrays' in other shaders)

This will be the last alpha release. I want to rewrite a bunch of stuff for the beta, but more importantly, finally finish the end dimension. I hope to have it ready by the next year.
- Added Distant Horizons support
- Added support for rain & thunder
- Added some optional effects: Chromatic Aberration, Depth of Field, POM etc.
- Added some more color grading options
- Switched to "Uncharted 2" tonemapper by default. It looks more "dreamy".
- Changed the way water waves look (still not happy with them)
- Fog now interacts with clouds, forming light shafts in some scenarios
- Fog density and cloud amount are now randomized every time you load the shader. I'm hoping to add more elements to this weather system in the future.
- Fixed translucents which were broken in 1.12.5
- Fixed a bunch of other bugs

I had to rush this release a bit since I'm starting university. I don't know how much time I'll have to work on shaders, so this will probably be the last release for a while.
