Found VHS Tapes is a Minecraft shader focused on liminal environments, psychological horror, and analog video aesthetics. It combines atmospheric lighting and fog with configurable VHS, CRT, and camera effects to recreate the appearance of degraded or recovered video footage.

The shader includes 11 visual profiles, each designed for a different atmosphere, including Backrooms, Poolrooms, Liminal Night, Parking Garage, Dead Channel, Lost.., After Hours, Forgotten, and Body Camera.

Each profile uses different combinations of visual effects, lighting, fog, and color grading to create its intended atmosphere.

Performance and Stability

The shader has undergone performance optimization, visual-quality improvements, and bug fixes throughout development. Individual effects can be configured to allow users to balance visual quality and performance according to their hardware and settings.

Performance will vary depending on hardware, Minecraft configuration, renderer, shader settings, resolution, and other installed modifications.

Found VHS Tapes is actively developed, with additional visual improvements, compatibility testing, optimization, and bug fixes planned for future updates.
