Eternal Prism

A cinematic Iris shader that makes Minecraft feel alive — volumetric light, 3D clouds, living water and a night sky worth staring at. Scales from low-end PCs to cinematic ultra.

Features

Light & Atmosphere

  • Volumetric light — real light shafts through trees and terrain
  • Soft shadows (PCSS) — shadows blur naturally with distance
  • Two-tone lighting — warm sunlight, cool sky ambient
  • Height-based ground fog — morning mist settles in valleys
  • Aerial perspective — distant terrain fades into the sky

Sky

  • Volumetric 3D clouds with self-shadowing (SUPER_HIGH/ULTRA)
  • Milky Way, nebulae and twinkling stars at night
  • Aurora borealis — procedural, different every night
  • Golden sunsets with time-of-day color grading

Water

  • Gerstner waves — physically-shaped, animated
  • Screen-space reflections — water mirrors the world
  • Caustics, foam and subtle rainbow iridescence (it is a prism, after all)

World

  • Swaying foliage — leaves, grass and flowers react to wind
  • Wet surfaces in rain — blocks darken and shine
  • Cinematic post-processing — bloom, DoF, film grain, ACES tone mapping

Fully customizable — 26 options

Toggle every effect individually and tune brightness, saturation, contrast, wave height, fog density and more — right from Shader Options. No reinstall needed.

Requirements

Installation

  1. Download the .zip
  2. Drop it into .minecraft/shaderpacks/ (no need to unzip)
  3. Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs → Eternal Prism
  4. Click the gear icon to open Shader Options
