About XP-like HUD

XP-like HUD (or wixewsky's XP-like HUD) will change in-game HUD (health, food, armor, etc) to use colored experience-like bars, being very vanilla-friendly.

Example

Originally I made this HUD for Better than Adventure! and published it on Planet Minecraft, but came up porting this to vanilla Minecraft with some improvements and publishing here, on Modrinth.

Mod Support

This Resource Pack supports 182 mods in total! ≈143 with custom assets and ≈39 tested out*. Currently supported mods:

This count will grow with updates. If you want to see your favorite mod in this list, DM me on Discord or Telegram (read Contact). Some mods not included in this list can work without issues, but it is not guaranteed. Forks of included mods must work fine, if textures and texture structuring was not affected by the fork. I recommend use mod versions that were released before XP-like HUD's update since some mods may add more content in the HUD or change it with updates.

Due to the rounded corners, some mods, like hunger removal or HUD flipping mods, may cause some visual problems. You can download sharp or circular corner variant to fix these compatibility issues. Just download additional (supplementary) file by selecting it on download page, since it is not the main version of this Resource Pack. Also you can find an addon for flipped armor bar inside .zip file.

Variants and Addons

This Resource Pack comes in three variants:

  • Rounded: The main variant, rounds only the left or right side of bars, depending on its position.
  • Sharp: No corners of the bars are rounded.
  • Circular: Every corner of the bars is rounded.

This Resource Pack includes four optional addons inside .zip file:

  • Pre-hunger Addon. Flips armor and oxygen bars for better experience with hunger removal mods.
  • Numbered Hotbar Addon. Adds numbers on hotbar for better accessibility.
  • Alpha and Beta Addon. Extends XP-like HUD's support to every single Minecraft version.
  • Armor Chroma Addon. Adds full compatibility for Armor Chroma and Armor Chroma for Fabric.

Due to some limitations with assets count, some XP-like HUD versions on Minecraft 1.20.3 and below can crash your game because it has too much folders inside assets. Delete useless mods, update your game, use version with less content, or use older Resource Pack versions, there is nothing I can do (except stop adding more and more mod support) (Minecraft 1.20.X and below worked fine on my end while I was testing mods ever since I added "CRASH FIX" and "Vanilla" versions inside main .zip btw).

You are allowed to do anything not included in this list, like including this Resource Pack to your modpacks or use it in your videos or livestreams.

This Resource Pack officially published ONLY on Modrinth and Planet Minecraft, if you downloaded it from somewhere else, you have been scammed and you shouldn't use these websites ever again. They deprive authors of revenue, overtake traffic and adding virues in their reuploads.

This list can be changed at any moment. LICENSE.txt can be different from this section.

A stable and bug-free experience is not guaranteed, especially with old Minecraft versions or a modded client. In my experience, vanilla and modded Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 1.21.8 worked perfectly fine. Modded Minecraft 1.21.8 with a few supported mods worked fine as well.

hello again! it's been a month since last update. i took a break from my pack, but now i can work on it again (at least i hope so). update would be release less frequent, once every two weeks or so, i'm not sure about it. i have some plans like Respackopts support or more redesigns.

i think i'll release 1.15.1 if i will find some bugs.

  • Poisoned heart is now more similar to vanilla by making the highlight more purple and adding some splat of more orange color.

  • Probably something else I forgot to mention idk.

Note:

happy new year (better late than never)! it's been a while since last update. more than three weeks! sorry for that long wait, i got really sick and busy recently and couldn't update my pack but now everything is fine. i think i'll change vanilla and modded textures more often in future updates rather add more and more mod support, it also can help to notice some mistakes in the pack. vanilla texture changes are just more noticeable.

thanks modrinth, i didn't know that additional (or "supplementary", no idea why they renamed it) files are not meant for variants. maybe i will release sharp and circular variants as different versions but not today. or i can add respackopts support ig.

  • Complete hotbar revamp. Now the hotbar is stylized to look like the rest of the HUD and not like a connected vanilla hotbar. The hotbar is orange to represent the sand background from the vanilla hotbar, and the selection is green to represent the greenish tint on the original selection. If you prefer the old look, replace original files with "*_old" variants. Numbered Hotbar Addon included ofc

had to reupload this cuz fucking windows replaced heart folder with vanilla in rounded version. please, report these issues. i will switch to linux some day, fucking hate microsoft. i have no idea how that could happen. ig 1.13.1 would release if i find another issues, but i haven't found nothing special in rounded version after that fix.

  • More Heart Types' fire bar is matching new heart look (old one still inside sprites folder). replace new texture with the old ones(*_old.png) and rename them for compatibility with older MHT versions.
  • More Heart Types' prickly container is now more green.

Hello! It's been a while since the last update. Sorry for a long wait, I took some break from my Resource Pack, but now I can work on it as usual!

Added:

  • "Beta and Alpha" Addon inside .zip file for pre-release Minecraft versions (ofc with the numbered hotbar addon inside its .zip included). So it means that XP-like HUD should work on every single Minecraft version! Aslo this addon have a custom 32x32 pack.png instead of regular 1080x1080 pack.png because game can't render that big file and eventually crashes.

  • Hotbar on circular version now have gaps between slots for better consistency with the rest of the HUD.

  • Numbered Hotbar Addon now do not uses BTA!'s assets (i have no idea why i opened hotbar.png and left corners were sharp and right were rounded. previously bta!'s pack.png took place of nh's pack.png).

i have no idea what mods should i implement in the next update. guess i'll have to spend this week thinking about it. future updates may become smaller since i have less and less content to add.

edit: this is the first time i published an update from a phone. vpn on a pc just didn't work. i already used to write a change log in telegrams saved messages btw, i even have a template for it.

edit 2: damn, images are so good to show what changed and how changed. definitely will keep making these in the future.

I would not be surprised if I forgot to change some textures in circular version. also i have no idea why circular version is heavier than rounded.

edit: i had to reupload it several times since circular version took place of main file. also it means that rounded version now have useless pack.txt.

  • Renamed "1.20 FIX" to "CRASH FIX" on sharp version.

Note:

this Resourse Pack works very unstable on beta and alpha Minecraft versions.

even though I added "Beta and Alpha" Addon for sharp version, it can cause your game to crash. it is pretty experemental, i will work on it in the future.
