Hello everyone!
I’m excited to share my Vanilla Shader Project with you all. I’m still a beginner in the world of programming, but it’s been an incredible journey learning how this works and seeing the results of many hours spent in front of the screen.

I’ve just released Version 2 (V2). While it was technically "ready," I felt it needed some extra polishing (and it still does!). Please keep in mind that there are still plenty of bugs, but I’m committed to fixing them as I learn.
Note: Currently, it does not support Sodium, but I’m working hard to make that happen soon!
🟢 What’s New in V2
- Toon/Retro Lighting: Light sources now feature silhouettes for a stylized, classic game aesthetic.
- Bouncing & Indirect Light: New mechanics for light accumulation and bounce.
- True Darkness: Nights are now significantly darker and more atmospheric.

Hello everyone, I'm sorry for the delay, I'm having some problems in being able to cover all the versions, so I decided to move the shader to the most recent one and continue working from here, I think that in the long term there will be more possibilities, for now we don't have anything too absurd, the biggest difference will be seen at night, but we managed to achieve more than 100fps with 32 chunks... amazing!

Beta version of the shader, with calculations used to preserve the style and improve performance. Additional post-processing effects have been applied to enhance the final image.

In this version, maintaining a high FPS was somewhat sidelined to focus on adjustments that could enhance the shader's immersion. The idea is to create moodier lighting, making shadows more impactful on gameplay, and making nights feel more like night itself. I aimed for a dark, night-time feel; without light or light sources, it's very difficult to see. Moonlight illuminates, but not as much anymore. I also tried to add more depth to the shadows of the trees and create a smoother contrast between light and darkness.
