Torch's Dark Aesthetics

Makes Minecraft's interface fit a darker aesthetic while also making it more squared off and visible. All textures were handmade by me. The idea for this pack was to make a simple GUI pack that I could work off of for a mod based resource pack that wouldn't be complicated to work with. With my pack, due to me simplifying the shapes of the GUI's by squaring them off, it not only makes it have a bit more visibility, it also for allows easier edits to a mod's textures to match this simplicity. In the future, there will be "[Color] Aesthetic" versions of this pack as well, changing small things like the player background or progress bars to match a certain color.

Important Information

The translucent textures in this resource pack on MC Version 1.21.1 will not work without a mod like Neo TranslucencyFix.

Recommended Mods

  • Neo TranslucencyFix: Makes translucent textures ACTUALLY translucent. (not needed if on version 1.21.2 or above)
  • TranslucencyFix: Makes translucent textures ACTUALLY translucent. (needed if on version 1.20.1 or below)
  • Raised Mod: Moves the hotbar so it doesn't crop the texture.

1.0.6 - Backport to 1.20.1 AND small fixes

  • Backported to use on 1.20.1 (may work all the way through 1.20)
  • Fixed Smithing Table Texture issue I missed
  • Added Fabric API button texture to vanilla pack (for those low mod modpacks)

  • Added "demo_background" image since apparently some mods use it. It's on the vanilla pack though as, well, it is a vanilla texture.

I forgot to upload 1.0.3, so I will instead post both changelogs here.

1.0.3 - Shader Update

  • Removed the shader that took away the darkened background when a GUI was open.
  • Fixed the text shader from accidentally modifying other mods text that wasn't on the same depthlevel as GUI text, causing a weird text double up sometimes.

1.0.4 - Bundle Update

  • I just simply added some textures for the datapack bundle... that's all

Just fixes the Buttons and Sliders to not have that random Dark Grey line show up when the button/slider is longer than 200 pixels wide.
