It DEFINITELY works on Optifine, if it works on EMF for you too, then great!

If it's not OptiFineHD but the CIT mod, then the check:

Recommended version: 1.17.1
On version 1.20.1, Strange Journal breaks and the book doesn't change.
On version 1.18.2, it gives an error when loading resource packs (I'm surprised myself).

renames(rename on anvil; for accuracy, it is advisable to copy from here. And if you add it to the server, then write renaming somewhere):

- Sea Lantern = The Sun;
- Carved Pampkin = Hat;
- Pumpkin pie = Pancakes;

- Book = Strange journal;
- Feather = Gold feather;
- Heart of the sea = Amber;
- Wheet seeds = Seed.
