Axolotls get some rest while in their buckets! Very cute, and also animated!

This pack makes the axolotl bucket sleeping in the bucket! It'll wake up to come out of the bucket, though (This doesn't change the entity).

Now using the new item model states, the nocturnal axolotl will pop its head out for your onight adventure, go back to sleep during the day. I tried to make the animation smooth for your enjoyment. For a semblance of fairness, this only applies to the overworld, but to compensate, there is a nether-specific texture, and I do think it's better for your axolotl buddy to be alert for your most dangerous adventures.

If you still prefer a static item (as I think it's more vanilla), or want the cycle to be shorter and independent of game time, there are downloads for that too.

Do not reupload in any capacity. If you want to use assets, ask for permission. ^-^

Updated using the new item state feature to depend on daylight as a clock would. Asleep during the day and awake during the night, the axolotl is nocturnal. The animated transition remains, but is dependent on daytime instead of being an animated texture. Designed to only work in the overworld so that your axolotl buddy can always support you during your end adventures, and added a new nether texture where the water is almost dried up.

Upon request, added an animated texture that cycles through the sleepy texture and one more outside the bucket based on concept art.

Initial release with static texture. Axolotl permanently sleeps while in the bucket.
