Infinite Cushions

Dye cushions in any colour, like leather armour, and have your pets sit on them!

infinite_cushions_banner This data pack tries to make the new cushions even better by allowing you to dye them in any colour and your pets to sit on them!

Note
Make sure to install it on the latest 26.3 snapshot either as a data pack and resource pack or as a Fabric mod. There might be bugs, this data pack is still in early development.


Dyeing Cushions

After you've got a white cushion, you can dye it using a crafting table. And, just like with leather armour, you will now be able to mix multiple dyes to craft cushions with unique colours.

Later on, if you want to remove the dyes from a cushion, simply right click with it on top of a Water Cauldron.


Pets on Cushions

You can now also have some tamed mobs sit on a cushion:

  • Wolves
  • Cats
  • Foxes

First select the cushion and then the pet you want to sit on it, both by sneaking and right-clicking.

  • Cushions will now turn black when they're almost fully inside a block to match vanilla behaviour:
    • This allows you to recreate the popular cushion LEDs
    • Note: cushions placed before this version will appear floating until you get close to them to update their model

Here's an update with quite a few bug fixes and changes:

  • You can now right click with a dyed cushion on top of a water cauldron to wash it out
  • White cushions will now use the vanilla texture instead of the texture used as the grayscale for the dyed cushions
  • Various bug fixes and technical changes:
    • Cushion items dropped from destroying a cushion will now stack correctly
    • Fixed a few dye recipes which were overrided by the vanilla ones and didn't allow you to mix dyes
    • Destroying a cushion no longer transforms other dropped items into cushions
    • Fixed some issues with picking up a dyed cushion in creative with middle click
