CWSM Enhancements

This is a small enhancement pack for Cracker's Wither Storm Mod, which changes some textures and audio files for a better Wither Storm experience!

NOTE: This mod requires Cracker's Wither Storm Mod to work!

This is a small enhancement pack resource pack, which changes a few textures and audio files for a much better Wither Storm experience!

ADDITIONS:

New textures such as:

  • darker flesh textures (applies to everything)
  • flesh at the bottom of ribcage tentacles to indicate it poked itself out of the WS' body
  • retextured the flame of the flaming wither skull so it matches the skull texture
  • small changes to the WS sickness overlay texture
  • recut the tractor beam overlay so it matches 16:9 screens without stretching
  • new wither sickness effect icon

And new sounds such as:

  • added outside effect to grow on bowels_transport
  • command_block_activates uses sound of wither_storm_reactivates
  • command_block_build uses WS roars instead of CMD block hit sound at the end
  • command_block_pulse_loop polished up using a lowpass filter so some weird noise is gone
  • extended earth rumble with better fade
  • new slightly better F-Bomb explosion sounds
  • WS themes swapped with the upgraded reuploads of Antimo & Welles
  • wither_storm_reviving_theme uses "101 Credits" instead of the WS theme
  • new WS death sound
  • new WS evolution sound
  • wither_storm_reactivates has some massive distant sound effect applied so it sounds like it comes from far away
  • realigned wither_storm_splits to match new F-Bomb sounds
  • old Withered Symbiont music, can be found in V4 as a seperate resource pack download

Important: for this resource pack to work, put it above the mod resources in case it isn't

  • added a bit of flesh on the bottom of the ribcage bones so it looks more like it poked through and grew out of it
  • changed the command_block_activate sound to wither_storm_reactivates
  • added massive distant-effects to wither_storm_reactivates so it sounds like it came from far away
  • changed command_block_build (the sound that plays when the WS gets resummoned by the beacon) so the end sounds like WS roars instead of a CMD block hit

new sounds:

  • bowels transport (made the growl sound more like it comes from outside)
  • formidibomb explosion sounds (shorter kaboom and longer ear ringing to match white overlay gradually disappearing)
  • wither storm splitting (added a fade-in to match realistic-ish inability to hear when ears are ringing (basically more realism))
  • new evolving sound (if you listen closely, you can still hear the original evolution sound in it)

for/from last version, you can now download a seperate resource pack which only includes the new symbiont music. you will need both respaks installed now if you want the enhancements and the old symbiont music!

  • re-added Wither Storm boss musics, themes are now from the upgraded seperate uploads by Antimo & Welles, affects default theme, rises theme and destroyed theme

  • changed Wither Storm revive theme to "101 Credits"

  • implemented old Withered Symbiont boss music before Mar Mar's version came in; people who want the old Symbiont fight music back, please download version 3-A. people who want to keep Mar Mar's symbiont music, please download version 3-B.

added: missing mcmeta files for two tainted flesh textures that are animated, looking stretched out when using this respak

removed: WS evolution sound because it sounds too bowely (its made of WS sounds from the bowels so no wonder)
