ScaledEnderDragon is a powerful Minecraft plugin that enhances the Ender Dragon fight by introducing dynamic scaling based on player count and unique combat mechanics.

Features

Dynamic Scaling System

  • Automatic difficulty adjustment based on player count (2-10 players)
  • Use dragon eggs to manually scale your dragon without the need of players.
  • For example: with two players in the end, and 3 dragon eggs placed on the center pillar of the portal; the dragon will then be a 5 scale dragon!

In-Game Reward Management

Add custom rewards directly in-game using the new command: /sed addreward [hand/item] [quantity] [rarity] [chance] hand - Use the item you're currently holding (preserves all metadata, enchants, name, lore) item - Specify a Minecraft or custom item by name (e.g., DIAMOND_SWORD or itemsadder:ruby_sword) quantity - Set the number of items to reward (default: 1) rarity - Choose between "common" and "rare" loot tables chance - Set drop chance (1-100%) from the reward pool chance

Requirements

  • Java 17 or higher
  • Paper/Spigot server version 1.21.4 or higher

Commands

/sed reload | Reloads the plugin configuration | /sed kill | Kills the current dragon alive, if player's have damaged it they will still be able to get rewards if they've done the min. damage.

Permissions

  • scaledenderdragon.admin
  • Default: OP
  • Grants access to administrative commands

Added compatibility for Minecraft 26.2, join our discord to report any issues you may find!

  • Removed reward-multiplier from dragons.yml as it is no longer used, the config is under config.yml rewards section for base-rare-chance and scale-rare-chance-increase.
  • Fixed an issue of items being deleted if the player had a full inventory when they killed the dragon
  • Added ability to specify more players under guarenteed-rare and leaderboard-bonus sections under rewards as they did not scale past 3, even if you changed the top-players config.
  • Added it so all players who reach the minimum damage cap will have the base-rare-chance to roll a rare loot table item, not just the top-players.

Finally got some time to get around to updating and cleaning up a few things. This introduces a config change, if you've modified your scaled dragons you'll have to copy & paste your modified config into dragons.yml in order to use it.

  • Fixed Dragon Breath clouds not dealing damage
  • Added the ability to collect dragon breath in bottles from the clouds
  • Fixed Potion effects being applied to the player from melee hits
  • Fixed sound issues and made them use the player's audio settings, no more loud dragon roars at summoning!
  • Added Boss Bar colors depending on dragon, also added a segmented boss bar to better indicate when the dragon will respawn crystals
  • Fixed already summoned dragons breaking after server restarts, boss bars are still glitchy

CONFIG CHANGES: Moved the scaled dragons configuration from config.yml to a new file called dragons.yml for easier, cleaner config. If you've edited the scaled dragons in any way, you can just copy that section from your existing config.yml and paste it into dragons.yml
