Jadenman Trident

This plugin adds a powerful custom trident with boosted damage, special abilities, and a unique crafting recipe that uses player heads, giving servers a strong late‑game or event‑style weapon

Shift‑crafting is blocked so people can’t spam them craft spears. Whenever someone crafts a spear, the server announces it like:

“Spear 1/3 crafted!”

“Spear 2/3 crafted!”

etc.

It makes the whole thing feel like a server‑wide event.

The Actual Trident Once someone finally obtains a trident, it becomes the only legitimate trident on the server. Every 5 seconds the plugin checks everyone’s inventory and deletes any “fake” tridents.

It also:

Can’t go in ender chests

Is fire‑resistant

If it’s ever lost or destroyed, the recipe becomes craftable again

Announces globally when someone finally gets it

Riptide Anywhere You can riptide:

In water

Out of water

Without rain

Basically whenever you want

If you slam into someone while riptiding, lightning hits them.

Lightning Damage Riptide collision: 8–10 hearts, shield‑blockable

Normal hit: 70% chance of lightning for 1.5 hearts

Crit hit: 100% chance for 3 hearts

Slam attack (riptide into them): 30% chance to ignore shields

Weapon Stats Attack speed = sword

Damage = Netherite Sword

Name §9§lPoseidon’s Trident (dark blue + bold)

Player Heads Every player drops their own head when they die. Doesn’t matter how they died — PvP, mobs, fall damage, whatever. You need heads for the recipe, so this makes PvP way more interesting.

Trust System Players can add friends to a trust list. Trusted players don’t take damage from the Trident’s lightning.

  • Netherite-level damage for the trident (hits as hard as the strongest sword).

What Was Fixed:

  • Fixed trident damage calculations (was doing 0 damage, now does proper netherite damage).
  • Fixed lightning not striking on non-critical hits (now strikes every time).
  • Fixed riptide not working properly out of water.
  • Removed broken probability/chance system for lightning.
  • Fixed command handler syntax errors and duplicate code blocks.
  • Fixed unused and deprecated configuration fields.
  • Added proper permission checks for admin commands.
  • Cleaned up all compilation errors and warnings.
  • Made tab completion work correctly for all commands.
  • Ensured only the owner can carry the trident (removed duplicates automatically).

What Was Customized:

  • All damage values are now editable in the config.yml file.
  • Lightning effects can be toggled on/off globally without code changes.
  • Particle types and effects are configurable.
  • Trident name and description can be changed.
  • Cooldowns for lightning strikes are adjustable.
  • Action bar messages can be toggled per player.
