CaveCrawlers

CaveCrawlers is a powerful Minecraft plugin that adds custom items, shops, and mining mechanics to your server. It features advanced item management, player progression, and seamless integration with MythicMobs, making it ideal for RPG adventures or custom survival worlds.

Installation

  1. Download the latest CaveCrawlers jar from the releases.
  2. Place the jar file in your server's plugins folder.
  3. Start or restart your server.
  4. Configure items, shops, and other features in the config files.

Yaml To Database

Player data migarted to a Database instead of file per player Using H2 by default and allowing you to use MySQL instead

Please Note that MySQL support has some problems with syncing between servers if the database server is slow

📦 Version 1.1.0 — The Index

This release introduces a comprehensive in-game Index system, upgrades the underlying engine to Paper 1.21.11, and brings significant quality-of-life improvements to shop automation and player data management.

⚠️ Breaking Changes

  • Minecraft Version: Minecraft 1.19 is no longer supported. This version is built specifically for modern environments.
  • Java Version: This update requires Java 21 or higher. Please ensure your server startup script or hosting panel is updated.

🧪 Experimental Features

The following features are disabled by default and can be enabled in the config.yml. Use with caution as they may impact performance or stability:

  • Cooldown Animations: Visual cooldown animations for abilities. (enable-cooldown-animation)
  • Advanced Hammer Sorting: Sort blocks by distance or block face (useful for specific mining behaviors, but may increase CPU load). (hammer-sort-by-distance,hammer-sort-by-face)

  • In-Game Index System: A searchable GUI for Mobs, Blocks, Bosses, and Altars. Includes controls for hidden entries and sorted listings. use with /index in the future will also allow admins to edit drops

  • Targeted Data Commands: Admins can now target specific players for load, save, and reset operations.

  • MythicMobs Support: Native name lookup support for MythicMobs.

  • Face-Aware Mining: Improved hammer mechanics that intelligently account for the block face being hit.

  • Enhanced Profile Viewer: Off-hand items now render correctly in the Player Viewer GUI.

  • Advanced Rewards: Added support for command-based drops and range-based drop logic.
