AdvancedAFKZone

What is the plugin Advanced AFK Zone is a lightweight, lag-free plugin that rewards idle players when they teleport to a safe, custom-generated End dimension. While AFK, players passively collect "Shards" which can be used to purchase premium items, gear, and custom rewards from a fully configurable built-in GUI shop. This system turns inactive playtime into meaningful progression without clogging up main-world mob farms or harming server TPS.

Main features Custom Dimension Generation: Automatically builds a safe, stylized End dimension (with a glass dome, paths, houses, and trees) specifically for AFK players and it can be changed by server owner. Zero Lag Impact: Aggressively clears and prevents mob spawning, Shard Economy: Introduces a unique, currency ("Shards") that players earn automatically while idling in the AFK Zone. Built-in GUI Shop: A fully customizable, large inventory shop where players can spend their Shards on Max Enchanted Netherite gear, Elytras, and other premium items by deffault. PlaceholderAPI Support: Fully integrated with PlaceholderAPI (using %afkzone_shards%) so you can display Shard balances on scoreboards, holograms, or chat formats. Safe Teleportation: Automatically saves the player's previous location and safely handles their teleportation back and forth without glitches or death risks.

Why use it? Unmanaged AFK players can ruin your server's TPS by keeping main-world mob farms and redstone chunks loaded. Advanced AFK Zone solves this by safely moving them to an isolated, 0-lag custom dimension. Not only does this save your server performance, but the built-in Shard economy gives players a fun, long-term reason to stay online!

installation

  1. Download the latest AdvancedAFKZone.jar file.
  2. Drop the .jar file into your server's /plugins folder.
  3. Restart your server to generate the configuration files.
  4. (Optional but Recommended) Install PlaceholderAPI to utilize the %afkzone_shards% placeholder on your scoreboards, chat formatting, or holograms.
  5. Open plugins/AdvancedAFKZone/config.yml to fully customize the shop items, shard payouts, and AFK intervals to your liking!

commands /afk - Teleports the player to the safe AFK zone, type it again to leave the AFK zone

/afkshop - Opens the custom rewards GUI using Shards.

/shards - Check your current Shard balance.

/afkzone info|reload - Plugin info and reload configuration (afkzone.admin).

New 1.4.0 Advanced AFK Zone update

  • new creation commands "/create afkzone" " /create afkworld" deletion commands "/delete afkzone" "/ delete afkworld" "/delete afkshop item"
  • changing the toggle command to "/afkdestination toggle " if you typed it normally you gonna turn off/on all the afk areas or you type the number of the zone or the world you want to turn off/on
  • new custom shards gain per minute for special players "/set afkshards gain" "/afkshards gain list" and a list to see the players that have the custom shards
  • changing "/sell afkshop " to "/add afkshop item" and add a command line with it or you can just leave it if you don't want to
  • add a confirm for buying an item

Now you can give shards with unique message to the given player and the admins too with unique message above the hotbar too and the /set shards command now there is a unique message above the hotbar too to the player

🔧 Fixes

A series of core fixes have been implemented to ensure plugin stability and an optimal user experience:

Persistent AFK Timer:

  • Continuity: When returning to the AFK Zone, the timer resumes from the exact second it stopped, regardless of how much time has passed or server restarts.

Smart Notification System:

  • Unified Messages: Consolidated entry and exit notifications to appear in both Chat and Action Bar simultaneously with professional formatting.

Teleportation Improvements:

  • Now of you teleport outside afk_zone_world by any plugin or normal /tp , you will automaticly leave afk zone so player will not get the shards while he is outside the afk_zone_world
  • New Phrasing: Updated countdown messages to "Teleporting in X seconds" and "Leaving AFK Zone in X seconds".
  • Clear Cancellation: Updated the movement cancellation message to "Teleportation cancelled because you moved" in light red across both Chat and Action Bar.

🔧 Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Session Persistence: If the server restarts, players who were in the AFK Zone will now remain in the AFK Zone upon reconnecting.
  • Timer Continuity: The plugin now remembers the exact second count a player had before a server restart or logout, ensuring no progress is lost.
