Adds new villager professions and infrastructure systems to make your villages feel more alive and interconnected.

New Professions

Porters

Porters act as the logistical link in your village, delivering resources between other workers.

  • Must be assigned to a chest to begin working.
  • Scans to find nearby workers.
  • Can remember up to 16 workers (capacity increases with equipment).
  • Once acquainted with another worker, they will:
    1. Visit them regularly to check needs.
    2. Deliver items from their assigned chest to the worker’s chest.
  • Hireable from Level 2+ Cartographer villagers via the Porter Workstation.

Planned

  • Additional professions: Cooks, Warehouse Managers, Craftsmen
  • Villager Comfort System: Environmental factors can affect worker efficiency
  • Economy system with workers paying one another for services

  • fixed critical performance issue causing high CPU load
  • fixed infinite loop in TargetKnownWorkerGoal when workers couldn't be selected
  • fixed porters being unable to target workers who need help (hungry/toolless workers)
  • fixed porters not detecting missing tools when workers lose them (now checks inventory directly)
  • fixed porters only checking half of double chests when assessing worker excess items
