Auctioning

You can put up your items up for sale live throughout the server through a bidding system. Any player can join in the auction and place an amount of money to win a item that you've put on the auction. Which can make it more effective than putting it up on the shop although the depends on the items and who you're playing with.

How to use the auction features

Being an Auctioneer

Copy and paste the following command into your chatbox

/auction start

In your UI, you will see an interface like this.

The main priority that you should know is how to put a item up for sale in the first place, you can do this by pressing/clicking the item directly on the inventory UI or pressing the number keys representing your hotbar to directly press that item back. Once you either do those, you will see a confirmation screen like this!

This screen's purpose is to just help prevent misclicks or misinputs as bidding can be irreversible once someone places a bidding. (Biddings are cancellable if no one places a bidding for an item).

Another key thing you should note is the editbox below, that is your starting price of the item, you can use this to set a minimum buying price but you can also leave it as it is on 0 if you don't mind.

Once you confirm, you will see a bidding screen like this, this shows you the time, the lists for the auction and bidders, the item and other details.

As I've already previous mentioned, you can cancel a bidding if no one bids on it any time but as soon as someone places a bidding, the item will not be cancellable and it's basically as good as gone unless you buy it back from them. This is how it would look like to cancel an item.

Other than that, thats all you really have to do as the auctioneer, when an bidding ends, you'll go back straight to the menu.

Notes:

• If you disconnect from the server while a bidding is active, if no one has bidded, it'll cancel automatically and go back straight to your inventory. You won't be able to get it back if someone has bidded on the item already and the bidding will just go on without you. (The auction will complete once the bidding is over)
• You can leave the screen once someone has bidded, to view back, repeat the same command again.

Being an Bidder

Joining an auction as a bidder is very easy! You can use the global broadcast sent to everybody to join the session without having to type anything

Or if there's no global message, you can join manually through a command

/auction join [player]

(If you joined an auction recently and you closed the menu, you can enter the command without specifying the player)

When you join an auction, if there's no items bidded available, then you'll have to wait for a bidding to occur on this screen.

However you can easily leave the menu through the escape key and join back when an biddings begins which you will be notified for through a message notification.

When you join back the auction or stay until a bidding goes live, you will see this screen for bidding, which has the item, a edit box for putting your money, a bid button for bidding, some context text below and lists sidebars same as the auctioneer

The whole process of bidding is self explainatory, you enter in the money, press bid and wait for results, if someone beats your bid, you either back down and address it with another bid. Note: In the last 10 seconds, if someone bids, the bidding will gain an addition of 5 seconds of extra time for responses. If you win the bidding, you can get the item instantly.

Viewing Auction Snapshots

To view old auctions, you can use the following command:

/auction history

To get full access to all auctions taken place in the server (I'll add filtering to the menu sometime)

Click on a head to go to a snapshot. Once you do, this is the snapshot you'll see You'll need to select a bidding from the Auction History list on the left side of your screen, there will be feedback on what you hover on when going over the list to help you pick.

Once you pick, you'll get the traditional bidding screen but with no live features and only the sidebars.

How to use the trade features

Dealing trades

Trading is very simple, you'll need to request a player you know by using the following command.

/trade request [player]

The player whom is recieving the request can either do

/trade accept

/trade deny

to decide how to handle your request, if they accept, the trade commences and you'll see this screen.

Theres two ways of exchange, money and physical items. For items, you can shift click an item to shift it into your container for trading or manually move it to the top which is your container to put it up for trade. For money, you can put up your money through the editbox to exchange money to entice a trade.

Then to finish the trade, you can ready it up through pressing the red button on the bottom of the container, it'll ready you up and if both players are ready, the trade finalizes and items and money are exchanged.

Trade History

To go to the trade history, you can use the command

/trade history

to find trades that you've done with another person and view what was exchanged.

As an operator, you can use

/trade server-history

to get a full server history on all trades for everyone.

This is what you'll see in the trade history menu, with heads of the partners you've traded with.

Once you go into a trade, you can look into the items traded and money exchanged for both sides (although i'll should probably make it more clear who's who in this menus)

That's all the additional features currently added into this mod for now

How to install

This mod only works through the use of both a dedicated server and client, singleplayer LAN worlds WILL not work to my knowledge. So you'll need to install the mod on both server and client to use.

• Fix some trade menu screen issues with container and skins and make some parts more clearer for players.

• Add translations and language support
• More customization features for client and server sides for auctioning and trades.
