Vanillabean adds 100+ features to Minecraft in a well-made, vanilla-friendly style!
Vanillabean is vanilla-friendly. It was created following the idea:
"Anything Vanillabean adds could feasibly be added to regular Minecraft."
Vanillabean Adds:
- Many new items and blocks, each with unique uses and functionality
- Unique hostile mobs
- So many new food items, all with fun uses!
- Mysterious structures to add variety to your world
- Tweaks to make underloved Minecraft features much cooler!
- So, so much more!
There's something for everyone here - whether you're into exploring, building, combat, or really niche things such as archaeology or fishing.

🚨⚠️ DOWNLOAD THE RESOURCE PACK! Click on the version of Vanillabean you're downloading under the "Versions" tab, and get the resource pack file, too. It will not work properly, otherwise! (unless you're installing the mod version - in that case, you're fine).

#1.4.4 - The Rearchived Drop: Part Two
The long-awaited second half of the Archives update is here! This adds some very significant features including Ominous Dummies.
Archives Updates
- Archives now have surface entrances
- Added Dart Traps, a new block that can be found in Archives
- Updated some already-existing Archives rooms
- Massively reduced the chance of finding too-small Archives by modifying generation
- Added Ominous Dummies
- Archives are now rarer (just over twice as rare as before)
- Reduced the chances of finding weird dead-ends in Archives that lead into the walls of other rooms
Misc. Additions
- Ocean monuments now have a Trial Gate to access the Trident as a reward, so you can choose to take it early and guarantee you can't complete the structure, or you can take it at the end with the final Gate Key dropped by the last Elder Guardian
- Added Mob Souls for Parched, and Sunken Drowneds
- In Pirate Speak language, renamed Sunken Drowneds to "Swashbuckil' Sailors"
- Updated pack license to CC BY-SA-NC 4.0 instead of a custom license
Bug Fixes
- Target Dummies duplicate if broken while the server is lagging
- Vanillabean's custom undead mobs don't burn in daylight
- Breakfast Bowls do not provide their benefits even if eaten during the right time
- Clocks to not display their utility bar text
- Some Copper Blocks in Ocean Monuments oxidize

The Archives are receiving an overhaul! This is part one of Vanillabean's first ever two-part drop.
This update also fixes some rather important bugs.
Archives Updates
- Illusioners and Vindicators are no longer disguised by illusions, they just spawn regularly
- Added many new Archives rooms and hallway types
- Rebalanced Archives room generation
- Updated some of the original Archives rooms
- New "reward" loot for solving or completing puzzles and challenges
- Rebalanced the basic loot pool
- Restructured Archives generation code
Progression Rebalances
- Fire Aspect is no longer found on Tungsten loot
- Dragonstone equipment and tools now has extremely high durability, instead of being unbreakable
- Endermite Egg Sacs now drop 50% of the time when mined
Wiki & Download Page Updates
- Removed Vanillabean SMP branding
- Updated wiki front page
Bug Fixes
- Vindicators and Illusioners in Archives can despawn
- Makeshift Shields render backwards
- Zombies can lose their items when converting to Drowneds or Sunken Drowneds
- Tidal Tiaras have glitchy enchantment glints
- Dragonstone Horse and Nautilus armor is marked as "unbreakable," even though Horse and Nautilus armor doesn't have durability

A hotfix fixing a major bug that has existed since the beginning of Vanillabean, as well as removing a feature which will become its own seperate pack - Heartichokes.

A quick update allowing for support of Minecraft version 26.1 and 26.1.1, along with a few new updates to existing features.
26.1 Update
- Vanillabean now runs on Minecraft version 26.1 and 26.1.1, and no longer supports version 1.21.11
- Added baby models for Ducks and Asher Wolves
- Updated the custom Stripped Spruce Log texture
Fishing
- Custom fish with rarity weights of 10 or lower now have yellow item names (uncommon)
- Catching epic fish (Mahi-Mahi) is now twice as rare
- Fish Traps now catch half as many fish
- Fish Traps now give rare fish with a 1/50 chance
- Fish Traps can no longer give epic fish (Mahi-Mahi)
- Removed some unused code regarding fishing
Misc. Changes
- Updated the Citadel Painting. It's now a Valheim reference, instead of showing an End City
- Pitcher Slabs can no longer have Bamboo or dry vegetation placed on them
- The durability of all Tungsten items has been decreased by 100
- Ancient enchantments no longer exist. Instead, Tungsten is found with regular enchantments, but one level above their supposed maximum

- Quartz Scythes can till Moss Blocks, Pale Moss Blocks, Mud, and Muddy Mangrove Roots
