Trims Begone!

A simple mod that allows players to take trims off armor and receive the resources back into their inventory.

Since there seems to be no way to remove armor trims off of armor, or "deconstruct" armor with trims, I added one myself.

Features:

Trim Removal:

Armor Trims can be removed from any piece of armor using the new Armor Scraper.

This item is crafted using the following recipe: The recipe for the basic iron armor scraper.

After crafting the Armor Scraper, armor trims can then be removed from a piece of armor by putting the armor in your offhand and right clicking with the armor scraper in your main hand.

Some examples of how to use the scraper are in the gallery. The keybind to scrape is configurable.

For now, that's it for this mod. Though simple, I feel like it was an oversight to not add implementation to remove armor in 1.20.

feel free to include this mod in any sort of modpack or project, I don't really care.

-Fixed all recipe bugs and bugs with modded armor trims, i.e. ported the updated fabric version of the mod for Forge 1.20.1, as this seems to be the most used version. For other Forge versions, I'll port them on a request only basis.

-Rewrote entire Mod Structure for Fabric instead of Forge, to fix a number of issues involving crashes and cross mod compatibility.

-As a result, modded trims/materials should now properly scrape off of armor and all crafting recipes should be consistently visible.

-A Forge version may be released in the future, but likely not anytime soon.

Diamond Tipped Armor Scraper:

-when using this instead of the normal armor scraper, it will return a netherite template and netherite ingot if the armor was netherite

-also returns trim and trim material, like the default scraper

Keybinds:

-the armor scrape function has now been resolved to a configurable keybind

Bug fixes:

-fixed a duplication bug that duplicated the trimmed armor

-fixed a bug where the game would crash if the scraper was used without armor in the offhand

-additionally, there are no bugs for the new 1.21 armor trims
