TooltipPro

See villager trades instantly — no GUI required.

TooltipPro enhances the Jade / WAILA tooltip by displaying a villager’s trades directly in the HUD when you look at them. This removes the need to constantly open the trading interface just to check what a villager sells.

The trades are displayed in a clean, compact layout using item icons so you can instantly understand the exchange at a glance.

Features

• Instant trade preview View a villager's trades simply by looking at them.

• Dynamic prices Prices reflect real villager demand, discounts, and penalties — exactly as they appear in the trading GUI.

• Icon-based layout Trades are shown using item icons instead of text for faster readability.

• Sorted trades Trades are automatically sorted alphabetically by result item.

• Out-of-stock filtering Trades that are currently locked will not appear.

• Enchanted book support Displays enchantment names and levels (for example: Mending I, Protection IV).

• Optimized server sync Trade data is transferred efficiently through Jade's server data system.

• Client-side usage Works on vanilla servers as long as you have Jade installed.

1.1.0Релиз26.2 · 30 июля 2026 г.

Changelog

[1.0.0+26.2] — 2026-07-30

Port to Minecraft 26.2. No functional changes — feature parity with 1.0.0+1.21.11.

Changed

  • Updated for Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.3, Fabric API 0.156.0+26.2
  • Now requires Java 25 (was Java 21)
  • Requires Jade 26.2.9+fabric or newer
  • Rebuilt against the unobfuscated Minecraft jar introduced in 26.1

Fixed

  • Mod icon now displays correctly in the mod list (path was pointing at a file that didn't exist)

Removed

  • Unused access widener that made Slot coordinates mutable — left over from an earlier layout approach and no longer referenced

Internal

  • Retargeted screen rendering from renderBg to extractBackground following 26.2's move to extract-based GUI rendering
  • GuiGraphicsGuiGraphicsExtractor, drawStringtext
  • Screen access moved from Minecraft to Minecraft.gui
  • interact() now passes an explicit EntityHitResult

[1.0.0+1.21.11] — 2026-03-23

Initial release.

Added

  • Villager trades in Jade — look at a villager to see its full trade list in the Jade tooltip, without opening the trading screen
  • Accurate prices — costs shown include reputation discounts, demand adjustments, and Hero of the Village, matching what the trade screen would show
  • Hide/show buttons — an eye button beside every row in the trading screen toggles whether that trade appears in the Jade tooltip
  • Out of Stock display — Jade config option to either hide exhausted trades or show them marked in red with a crossed-out arrow
  • Trade sorting — enchanted books listed first by enchantment name, then remaining trades alphabetically
  • Server support — fully client-side; works on vanilla servers with nothing installed server-side

Known limitations

  • On servers without the mod installed, trades appear after looking at a villager for roughly three quarters of a second, rather than instantly. The mod has to ask the server for the trade data, and the server only sends it in response to an interaction.
  • That interaction makes the villager turn toward you briefly.
  • Hidden trades are remembered per villager but reset when you look at a different villager, and are not saved between sessions.
  • Cached trade data refreshes every 10 seconds, and immediately if you hit a villager, so reputation-based price changes show up promptly.
  • The eye buttons use a bundled texture designed to match the vanilla trade rows rather than the vanilla sprite itself.
