TickFlow ⚡

A lightweight, Folia-compatible optimization plugin designed to squeeze maximum performance out of any hardware. TickFlow targets the biggest causes of server lag without ruining the vanilla survival experience.

🚀 Features:

  • Fully Configurable: Every feature can be easily toggled and fine-tuned in the generated config.yml.
  • Auto-Lobotomy for Villagers: Automatically detects villagers trapped in trading halls or iron farms (e.g., inside vehicles or 1x1 boxes) and disables their pathfinding AI to heavily reduce CPU load. Free-roaming villagers remain completely unaffected.
  • Aggressive Item & XP Merging: Intelligently merges dropped items and experience orbs within a configurable radius. This drastically reduces the number of ticking entities the server needs to process during heavy farming or explosions.
  • Fast Trash Despawn: Common clutter blocks (Cobblestone, Dirt, Netherrack, Gravel, Andesite, Diorite, Granite) despawn much faster (default: 45 seconds) to keep your world clean and save CPU cycles.
  • Projectile Cleanup: Instantly removes useless skeleton arrows upon hitting a block, while safely preserving player-shot arrows and tridents.

🔧 Important Bugfix Update for 1.19.4!

This is a hotfix release for the legacy 1.19.4 branch of TickFlow.

🐛 Bug Fixes:

  • Trading Halls Fixed: Fixed a critical issue where "lobotomized" (AI-disabled) villagers in 1x1 boxes would never restock their trades. TickFlow now artificially simulates working hours (between 2000 and 9000 ticks) and gives trapped villagers a chance to restock their trades naturally.
  • Your trading halls and iron farms will now function 100% like vanilla, but with absolutely zero pathfinding AI CPU overhead!

(Note: The new Adaptive TPS features are exclusive to the 1.20+ modern branches. This version remains lightweight and highly stable for classic Paper/Purpur servers).

🎉 The Adaptive Performance Update is here! This major update transforms TickFlow from a simple optimizer into a smart, automated sysadmin that actively monitors your server's health and reacts to lag spikes in real-time.

🐛 Bug Fixes:

  • Trading Halls Fixed: Fixed a critical issue where "lobotomized" (AI-disabled) villagers would never restock their trades. TickFlow now smartly simulates working hours (between 2000 and 9000 ticks) and artificially restocks their trades. Your trading halls will now work flawlessly with 0% AI CPU usage!

New Features (The Adaptive System):

  • Smart TPS Monitor: TickFlow now features a built-in TPS adapter that safely supports both Paper (Global TPS) and Folia (Threaded Regions).
  • Panic Merging: If server TPS drops below 18.0 (e.g., during massive TNT explosions or farm overflows), the item and XP merging radius temporarily expands from 3.5 to 12.0 blocks to instantly clear entity lag.
  • Adaptive Spawn Throttling: If TPS drops below 18.0, TickFlow temporarily cancels 30% of natural monster spawns to give your CPU a break. (Note: Mob spawners and eggs are 100% unaffected!).
  • Adaptive Growth Throttling: If TPS drops below 17.0, CPU-heavy crops (Sugarcane, Bamboo, Cactus, Kelp) will grow 50% slower until the server recovers.
  • bStats Integration: Added anonymous metric tracking to help improve the plugin.

Make sure to regenerate your config.yml or manually add the new adaptive-spawn-throttling and adaptive-growth-throttling options!

🎉 TickFlow Update: The Config & Merging Update!

This update focuses on smarter, more elegant optimization methods that preserve the vanilla feel while massively reducing CPU and RAM usage.

✨ What's New:

  • Configuration System: A fully customizable config.yml is now automatically generated. You can toggle every single feature on or off, and adjust merging radiuses or despawn timers to fit your server's needs.
  • Aggressive Item Merging: Dropped items now intelligently merge into single stacks within a configurable radius (default: 3.5 blocks).
  • Aggressive XP Merging: Experience orbs now merge their values together into a single entity to prevent severe TPS drops during massive farm yields.
  • Fast Trash Despawn: Common trash blocks (Cobblestone, Dirt, Netherrack, etc.) now despawn in 45 seconds by default instead of the vanilla 5 minutes.

🗑️ Removed / Changed:

  • Removed Hard Entity Limits: The strict per-chunk limits for monsters and items were completely removed. The new smart merging and fast despawn features handle entity lag much more efficiently without breaking vanilla mob farms!
