This Theatrical mod/addon adds new lights for more variety!

This mod, as the name suggests, adds Extra Lights! Lights that are not included in the official mod.

ATTENTION! Please note that this mod is an addon for the Theatrical mod, you will need it for it to work.

For now, the mod includes some moving heads, LED panels, lasers, and other types of stage lighting. Additionally, as the Theatrical mod is updated, this mod will be updated as well, so you'll need the latest version of Theatrical if possible.

This mod will add more lights over time. Please note that this takes time and may take a while to add the lights. Join the Theatrical Discord for more information or if you need help!

Theatrical Extra Lights — New Release, New Fixtures!

New Fixtures

Moving Mini Bar

A motorized bar with 7 individual heads (pan + tilt).

  • 5ch — Unite Beam: all 7 heads driven as one (Intensity, Tilt, R, G, B)
  • 35ch — Alone Beam: every head controlled independently (5ch × 7)

Atomic Strobe — 34 Channel Mode

New DMX personality for the Atomic Strobe with full zone-based control: independent color zones and per-bar dimmers for precise pixel-mapping effects.


Gobo System — 3 New Fixtures + 2 Renamed

Brand-new gobo projectors and refreshed beam fixtures:

  • Xtreme Spot (Gobos) — new
  • VL6C Spot (Gobos) — new
  • Iris 700 Spot (Gobos) — new
  • Moving VL2 (Gobos) — renamed from (Prism)
  • Moving Scan (Gobos) — renamed from (Prism)

Firework System — "Theatrical Pyro" Creative Tab

52 firework launchers (21 base presets × color variants) grouped into 18 burst patterns:

Peony · Willow · Strobe · Multicolor · Chrysanthemum · Palm · Horsetail · Ring · Bell Comet · Comet · Spinner · Crossette · Spider · Diadem · Salute · Heart · Double Burst · Whistler · Mine

7 primary colors: blue, red, green, gold, white, amber, violet.

Pattern Highlights

  • Crossette — each main spark detonates into a 6-spark perpendicular cross
  • Mine — ground-level upward fountain (instant burst, zero launch velocity) for stage mine effects
  • Custom halo + spark renderer — Shimmer-compatible, no vanilla particle light leaks

The Pyro tab also bundles the Gerb and Flame Projector blocks alongside the launchers.


Laser Rework — 19-Channel DMX

A complete overhaul of the laser fixture:

  • New pattern engine with multiple beam shapes and sweep modes
  • Raycast clip — the beam now stops cleanly on blocks
  • Configurable passthrough — let the beam pierce specific materials
  • Speed cap ×5 — up to 10 cycles per second at full DMX
  • Burst now reacts to Speed (from stable to ~12.5 flickers/s at max)
  • Scatter jitter ×5 faster
  • 5% deadzone preserved on Speed, Burst, and Scatter (DMX 0–12 stays static)

Misc

  • Improved focus, range, and config synchronization
  • Expanded Extra Lights Config Screen for richer per-fixture tweaks
  • Invisible Light is now labeled "Invisible Light (25 blocks)" to make its range obvious at a glance

Theatrical version: Theatrical-1.0.0-alpha.28.120+mc1.20.1

A configuration file was added to disable lens or glow effects. In the config folder and the JSON file "theatricalextralights", the line "renderLens" is set to False or True. A configuration file was also added to increase the beam distance for all RGB bars (rgbBarBeamLength). The texture of the water jets was modified.

Several water fixtures were added.

A light fixture (a Mini RGB Bar with 1 block > 4 channels) was added.


A new 2D beam (currently not optional) was added for various fixtures. A channel mode switching system was also added for some fixtures (7 or 10 channels; the new channels will be specified below). A "prism" system was added, with 3 channels dedicated to it. (8=Beams Count, 9=Prism Zoom, 10=Prism Rotation Note: (Beams are with the 2D system and the maximum number of beams is 16)

Note: The 7 or 10 channel system has not been implemented on all moving heads, only on some. However, you will recognize fixtures with both types of channels by (7ch/10ch) next to the fixture name.
