The Chocolate Mod

Hey everyone!

Today is update day!

Today brings the compatibility up to the newest version of Java Minecraft, it updates the mod to 1.20.4, since 1.20.3 was found to have a critical issue it didn't make sense to make a version for the 1.20.3 version of The Chocolate Mod.

Just remember that you can still use this mod on all 1.20.X Versions!

Changelog:

• Updated compatibility to 1.20.4

• You can still play on all 1.20.X versions, EXCEPT: 1.20.1, it will crash on this version

• Updated the main image on the PMC site

• This version is made in a different folder, it also means that it has been updated to the most recent version of IntelliJ, this version should be a lot more stable and useful for future content updates!

Hey everyone!

Today is update day!

it is a small update with just a few bugfixes but remember that bugfixing is also a crucial part of the development progress! Have fun with the update everybody!

Changelog 7.2:

• A sound is now played when using shears on flowering theobroma leaves

• fixed a bug where the zombie variant of the chocolaterie villager didn't have a texture

• it now uses the same texture as the normal chocolaterie villager but in zombie form

Hey everyone!

It is update day today! Woohoooooo, sorry for the long delay, now that school has really started again I have a harder time finding time to code the mod. but that wont stop me from making updates for this mod!

Anyways before we get into the changelog here is a request to fill in this feedback form! this will help me develop the mod your guy's liking! It is much appreciated and will only take 5 minutes, no E-mail required!

Changelog:

-- Copper Chocolate Bar --

• Added copper chocolate bar

• Copper chocolate bars allow you to cycle between oxidation states of all copper blocks manually

• this removes the waiting time of waiting for copper blocks to oxidize making it more efficient

• you can smelt copper chocolate bars back to copper ingots in a furnace/campfire

• the bar has been added to all advancements and all necessary tags

-- Flowering theobroma leaves --

• split the theobroma leaves into 2

• Theobroma leaves and Flowering theobroma leaves (Check the image in the image gallery)

• the first one has the older texture, no flowers included

• the second one has the recent texture, containing flowers

• theobroma trees will still use the flowering theobroma leaves

• when right clicking the flowering theobroma leaves with shears it will transform into a normal theobroma leaves block, it will drop 1-4 theobroma flowers

-- QOL --

• Chocolate cakes are not stackable anymore

• added a "modtags" class to make tags more efficiently

• when right clicking a cat or a dog with a brown/white/dark chocolate bar it will now kill them

• this of course references to cats and dogs not being able to digest chocolate

• added a sound effect when using the copper chocolate bar

• both theobroma leaves can now be mined faster with a hoe (Just like their vanilla counterparts)

Wow that was the quite long changelog! Hopefully you will enjoy this update since I really wanted to make a good fufilling update! Hopefully I reached that goal!

Sorry for the bit of delay of the update to 1.20.2, this mod is just larger and it took a bit longer to iron out these pesky bugs and glitches!

But I have finally finished the update up! Woohoo! The main new update is the updated compatibility to Minecraft 1.20.2

But you'll see! Have fun!

Changelog:

• Updated compatibility to Minecraft 1.20.2

• Scrolls can now also be found in desert temples

• Coal chocolate bars also place a torch on the block you are standing when right clicking a stone/deepslate block

• Fixed the bug where emerald chocolate bars only worked whilst shifting (Now you don't have to shift anymore)

• The Ender chocolate bar now finally works how it should work

• Added theobroma flowers to the chocolateriers trades

• Added ore chocolate bars to the chocolateriers trades

• Magma Fusion now ONLY sets hostile mobs on fire

• this prevents accidentally killing friendly mobs (Like wolfs)

Welcome to update 6.1 of The Choclate Mod! Today is defintely an exciting day since this update adds quite a lot of QOL updates really needed! Hope you enjoy the update

Changelog:

-- Coal Chocolate Bar --

• Added Coal chocolate bar

• you can use it as fuel

• it lasts twice as long as normal coal

• when right clicking a coal ore the coal ore will spread to neighboring blocks

• allowing for more coal to be mined

• a max of 3 blocks can be transformed

• added a tooltip to the coal chocolate bar

Changes to loot tables:

• Gold and Enchanted Gold Chocolate bars are now available at ruined portals

• ore chocolate bars can now be found in mineshafts

• Increased drop rates of rotten chocolate bars

• Rotten Chocolate bar now has a recipe, made in the same shape as an Iced chocolate bar

• Enchanted Gold Chocolate bars can now be found in Desert Temples

• Ore Chocolate bars can now be found in desert temples

• added brown, white and dark chocolate bars to desert temples

• Added brown and white chocolate bars to shipwrecks

• All the chocolate scrolls can now be found in stronghold libraries

• Added the music disc to desert temples

QOL:

• Added "Ore Chocolate Bars" tag

• all ore chocolate bars now count for the ore chocolate bar advancement

• When right clicking a gold ore you just get a normal gold choclate bar

• allowing for a new way to obtain gold chocolate bars

• Ender Chocolate Bars now also give levitation (Handy for raiding End Cities)

• Renamed Inferno Fusion to Magma Fusion

• Added Potion Variants of Magma Fusion (Normal, Splash and Lingering)

• Added a brewing recipe for the Magma Fusion potions (Using a netherite chocolate bar)

• you get 8 minutes of magma fusion from potions (making it worth it to brew them)

Bug:

• Fixed a bug where the theobroma slab only dropped 1 slab even if it was a "double" slab version

Hello Everybody!

Today is a very exciting day!!! Today I am releasing (one of the) biggest update till now! It includes a new mechanic, statuseffect and much more!

I really hope you enjoy the update! Let's not waste anymore time and get into the update RIGHT NOW!

Changelog:

--Ore Chocolate Bar--

• Added Ore Chocolate Bar

• Either found in treasure chests (Ancient Cities) (Buried Treasure) (Woodland Mansions)

• Or crafted with 1 normal chocolate bar surrounded by Raw Iron or Gold

• Added tooltip to the Ore Chocolate Bar

• When right clicking an Ore Block (For now: Emerald, Ancient Debris or Lapis (Deepslate) Ore) One ore chocolate bar wil be taken away

and you will recieve a Emerald/Lapis/Netherite Chocolate Bar,

these all have unique abilites!

-- Lapis Chocolate Bar --

• Lapis Chocolate Bars: Obtained by right clicking an (deepslate) lapis ore

• When right clicking with the lapis chocolate bar you get a random enchanted book, these can be bad or can be really good! Luck MAY be on your side!

• They can be smelted back into a lapis lazuli

• Added a sound when right clicking the bar

• Added a tooltip that explains the function of the bar

-- Netherite Chocolate Bar --

• Obtained by right clicking an ancient debris with a Ore Chocolate Bar you het a new statuseffect: Inferno Fusion (See Further Down For Explanation)

• When Right Clicking the Netherite Chocolate Bar you get a new statuseffect: Inferno Fusion (See Further Down For Explanation)

• You also get fire resistance when using the chocolate bar

• They Can be smelted back to an ancient debris

• Added a sound when right clicking the bar

• Added a tooltip that explains the function of the bar

-- Emerald Chocolate Bar --

• Can be obtained by right clicking a (deepslate) emerald ore

• When Right clicking the emerald chocolate bar you get 10 minutes of Hero Of The Village 3, allowing for gifts and cheaper trades from villagers

• These can also be smelted back into a normal emerald

• Added a tooltip that explains the function of the bar

• Added a sound when right clicking the bar

-- Statuseffect: Inferno Fusion --

• Currently the only way to get this effect is the Netherite Chocolate Bar, Potions and Splash Potions are coming soon!

• When you have the effect applied all mobs in an 8x8 radius will be automatically set on fire! (For 8 seconds)

• You can see fire particles in each corner of the "burning" box

-- Advancements --

• Added "Chocolate Bars Made From Ores" Advancemt, for obaining an ore chocolate bar

• All Ore Chocolate Bars now count for "the chocolate mod" advancement

• All (Ore) Chocolate Bars now need to be in the inventory for "The Chocolate Master" advancement

-- Other Stuff --

• Fixed a bug where the tooltip of the white chocolate bar was wrongly defined in the code

• Removed Dutch and German Language compatibility

• French is still available

• Gold Chocolate Bars now show up at villager level "4"

• You can now use campfires to turn theobroma flowers to dried cocoa beans

-- Exploits --

• You could cure a villager and then sell them chocolate bars to obtain infiinite emeralds

• This is now fixed

• You can now no longer sell chocolate bars to the chocolaterier villager

All right! That was A VERY big changelog! I really hope you will enjoy the freshness that the Ore Chocolate Bars will give!

The Plan Is to add a chocolate bar for every ore, these will come in batches in the next updates,

so look out for version 6.1 where the next ore chocolate bars will be added! But again this might take some time, especially with school beginning again!

But I will realease it ASAP!

Tooltips:

• Added tooltips (When hovering over the item you will now see text)

• Added a tooltip to all the scrolls

• added a tooltip to the sculk chocolate bar

Language compatibility:

• Added French Language Compatibility

• When Switching your MC language to French all items will be renamed (Not the advancements or other things, only the items and blocks)

• Added German Language Compatibility

• Added Dutch Language Compatibility

Other Changes:

A Quick Update that updates a few things!

Enjoy!

• All of the chocolaterier's trades give the villager more xp (Allowing it to level up faster)

• The mod can now be played with all 1.20.X Versions (So 1.20 and 1.20.1, later also 1.20.2)

• It will no longer give an error when trying to start up

• Make sure to not forget to add the correct version of the Fabric API!

I just wanted to quickly release this update so that people can play the mod on more versions of minecraft! See you soon!
