Tactical Footsteps Lite

Tactical Footsteps Lite is a client-side Forge mod that mixes player footsteps by relation: self, ally, or enemy.

Notice

• Client-side only; servers do not need to install the mod.
• Minecraft Directional Audio is forced on and its option is locked while the mod is installed.

Features

• Separate self, ally, and enemy footstep volume sliders.
• Centered, non-positional 2D self footsteps with an optional toggle.
• Separate ally and enemy range sliders with smooth distance fading.
• Optional OpenAL low-pass filter for ally footsteps (GAINHF = 0.50).
• Settings screen organized into Volume, Range, Self, and Filters tabs.
• Built-in support for vanilla player footsteps and Presence Footsteps sound IDs.

Default Settings

• Self volume: 25%
• Ally volume: 50%
• Enemy volume: 100%
• Ally range: 75% of vanilla
• Enemy range: 100% of vanilla
• Centered 2D self footsteps: enabled
• Ally low-pass filter: enabled

Requirements

• Cloth Config 11.1.x
• Optional: Presence Footsteps for the built-in compatibility path
