Synapse
Synapse is a Fabric mod that aims to improve existing redstone components/mechanics, and to add new components/mechanics in a way that does not majorly diverge from the vanilla redstone experience. You may think of it as something of an "overhaul" mod for vanilla redstone.
Current Features
- "Calibrated" torches and redstone blocks that output a specific constant signal strength
- More sensible music disc signal strength values
- Jukeboxes can be silenced and subsequently do not lock hoppers under th em when discs are inserted
- Hoppers that face up and transfer items every tick (8x faster than vanilla)
Planned Features
Definite Features
- Dispensers fill and empty cauldrons with buckets
- Powered detector rail hybrid so minecarts can be read and sent from the same rail
- Minecart gate that can be toggled with redstone
- Improved item transportation (splitting, filtering, maybe even-distribution)
Tentative Features
- Some component or block that stores an input signal strength when powered (locked comparators?)
- Auto block breaker
- Dispensers can pick up shulker boxes
- Ender chests that can be configured to a particular player in order to work with hoppers and other storage tech

Fixes
- Removed mixin debug flags which caused a
.mixin.out/directory to be generated (this was entirely harmless but cluttered users'.minecraft/folder unnecessarily).

- This version adds a new property to hoppers, which will not break vanilla hoppers but will break existing upward-facing hoppers if you have placed any with an installation of v0.4.0.

Changes
- The feature which prevented jukeboxes from locking hoppers has been removed due to concerns of being unintuitive. This is mostly because the "silenced" jukebox feature fixes the issue anyway simply by preventing the disc from playing in the first place.
Fixes
- The startup log now accurately reflects the mod version.
Other notes
- Updated all release version names to better align with semantic versioning (this will cause older versions to have some inconsistencies in their source code).

- Jukeboxes no longer lock hoppers placed beneath them. They technically still do lock hoppers to all other directions, but this is irrelevant as the hoppers would not be able to insert more than one disc at a time anyway.
- Jukeboxes can now be "muffled" by placing a block on top of them, like note blocks.
