📖 About

Inspired by existing screenshot mods, Snapper strives to bridge the feature-gap that most screenshot mods have, improving the overall experience.

With Snapper, you can:

  • Access an easy-to-use screenshot management menu from the title screen or in-game
  • View your latest screenshot with just a key press
  • Rename, delete, copy, and externally open images
  • Create and view panoramic screenshots
  • Share your screenshots with anyone via uploading
  • Not having to install a mod from an EXE

  • Forge?
    No. Please do not ask us for a forge port.

  • Do you plan to / Could you add X?
    If you want to suggest something, join the Discord or make a GitHub issue.

  • Can you port/backport to X version?
    Probably not. Multi-version projects are hard :<

  • My screenshots aren't copying and my game is logging Failed to get clipboard.
    The official Minecraft launcher doesn't have all of the necessary tools provided by a standard Java runtime. This may cause issues with copying for some users on Windows & Linux. Other launchers are not affected.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix a bug where deleting a screenshot from the screenshot viewer would not close the screenshot viewer, allowing you to crash the game by interacting with any button.
  • Fix several unintended behaviours relating to the Terms of Service screen and upload button.
  • Fix the "Open Folder" button in the panorama viewer screen.
  • Fix screenshots staying selected in the screenshot list after it has been reloaded.
  • Fix being able to open a screenshot while it is loading, breaking the viewer screen.

  • Moved View Screenshots button to align with vanilla.
  • Changed default key mapping for Open Latest Screenshot from O to B as O is now used for the friends menu in vanilla.

Bug Fixes

  • Changes to the View Mode setting will now apply immediately after exiting the config menu.
  • Exiting the Screenshot Viewer screen now correctly returns to the previous screen instead of closing all screens.

Connection, Correction & Collection

Only took us 8 months; but its here now!

I'm working on getting it ported to 1.21.4 and 1.21.5 right now. Those ports should be out soon.

New Features

  • Screenshot uploading, share your screenshots with ease! (via AxolotlClient)
  • Custom screenshot directory, allowing you to group all of your screenshots from different instances into one folder!
  • Screenshot grid view
  • Improved keyboard navigation support in menus

Fixes

  • Fix macOS clipboard support
  • Fix several crashes

Clipboard support on Windows and Linux should also function so long as you use a compatable Java Installation. The vanilla Minecraft launcher downloads a stripped down JVM which does not include libraries needed for clipboard support. Other launchers should work out of the box.
