Smooth Third Person Camera

Features

  • Smooth camera follow in third-person view
  • Configurable smoothness and maxDistance
  • Optional Limit Break mode for direct numeric input
  • ModMenu integration for in-game configuration (Fabric build)

Example settings: smoothness=0.14, maxDistance=50.0

Note: These are not the default values. Default is smoothness=0.30 and maxDistance=20.0.

Improved third-person camera smoothing rendering behavior

  • Mitigated terrain and chunk rendering holes that could appear while using camera smoothing in third-person view.
  • Rebuilt the camera culling frustum after applying the smoothed camera position, reducing mismatches with LOD and rendering mods such as Voxy.
  • This does not guarantee full compatibility with every LOD or shader pipeline, but it should reduce visible rendering gaps in the reported setup.
