Use /trigger sit to sit down anywhere in your world

Step 1: Add the datapack to your world

Step 2: Go to any spot in your world

Step 3: Execute /trigger sit

Step 4: Done! You are sitting now!

Step 5 (optional): Press Left Shift to stand up again

Should work on both singleplayer and, if set up correctly, on multiplayer servers.
