About

Tired of endless terraforming in Minecraft? Use an excavator!

This mod adds excavators that function like shovels but in a 3x3 area which greatly simplifies terraforming and digging in the middle and late stages of the game.

How It Works

To obtain an excavator, you must first find a new smithing template to upgrade your shovel. It can be found in villages: most often in the weaponsmiths, toolsmiths, and armorers houses, less often in regular houses.

Using a smithing template and a block of appropriate material on a smithing table, you can upgrade your shovel to a brand new excavator.

    • Smithing Templates (Excavator Upgrade) can be found in villages, more often in weaponsmith, toolsmith & armorer houses, less often in regular houses;
    • Smithing Templates (Excavator Upgrade) can be purchased from wandering trader;
    • Smithing Template (Excavator Upgrade) can be duplicated using craft, similar to vanilla;
  • Excavator will now only destroy one block at a time while sneaked (crouched), as if you were using a regular shovel;
  • Ported on 1.21.1.

  • Excavators are now crafted using Smithing Templates (Excavator Upgrade) on the smithing table, similar to crafting netherite gear in vanilla.

Fixed:

  • Iron and golden excavators can now be smelted into 1 matching nugget;
